Celebrating Courtney’s Next Chapter!

Today we’re celebrating Courtney, who will be starting Physician Assistant school at the University of Idaho this fall!

For nearly two years, Courtney has been an invaluable part of our team. She has grown tremendously during her time with us, bringing intelligence, curiosity, and a calm confidence to every patient interaction. Whether assisting in procedures, supporting providers, or helping patients feel at ease, Courtney has consistently shown the kind of dedication that makes healthcare better.

It has been such a privilege to watch her develop her skills and pursue her goals, and we are incredibly proud to see her take this exciting step toward becoming a Physician Assistant. While we will miss her steady presence in the clinic, we know she has a bright future ahead and will make a meaningful difference in the lives of her future patients.

Courtney, thank you for the care and heart you’ve given to our patients and our team. We are cheering you on as you begin this exciting new journey!

Please join us in congratulating Courtney and wishing her all the best at the University of Idaho this fall!

What Is Mohs Surgery—and Why Does Expertise Matter?

Mohs surgery is a highly specialized technique used to treat certain types of skin cancer. It allows the surgeon to remove cancerous tissue layer by layer, examining each layer under a microscope until no cancer remains. This method ensures maximum cancer removal with minimal impact to healthy surrounding skin—making it especially valuable for delicate or cosmetically sensitive areas like the face, ears, and hands.

At Eagle Dermatology, Dr. Gabriel Guerrero is a Board-Certified Mohs Surgeon with extensive training in both the surgical and microscopic aspects of this procedure. His precision and experience provide our patients with the highest standard of skin cancer treatment—right here in the Treasure Valley.

Happy Father’s Day from All of Us at Eagle Dermatology!

Today we celebrate the dads, grandpas, and father figures who give selflessly, work hard, and show up with love and strength every day.

Whether you’re grilling in the backyard, hitting the trails, or just enjoying some well-earned rest—we hope your day is filled with appreciation (and maybe a little SPF, too).

To the men who take care of everyone else—don’t forget to take care of yourselves, too.

In the Wild West of Skincare, Trust the Real Experts.

Idaho may pride itself on its independent spirit—but when it comes to your skin, don’t go rogue.

With so many people out there claiming to be skincare experts, it’s more important than ever to choose care that’s backed by real training, medical experience, and board certification.

At Eagle Dermatology, your cosmetic treatments are overseen by Board-Certified Dermatologist Dr. Gabriel Guerrero, ensuring that every laser, injectable, and skincare plan is rooted in science—not sales.

We’re not here to push trends—we’re here to protect and enhance your skin with knowledge, integrity, and results you can trust.

Because your skin deserves more than guesswork.

Concerned About a Spot? We’re Here for You—Fast.

At Eagle Dermatology, we understand how stressful it can be to wait when you’re worried about a suspicious skin lesion—especially if you have a personal or family history of skin cancer.

That’s why our provider Victoria Rice, PA-C reserves her schedule exclusively for skin cancer screenings and evaluation of potentially cancerous lesions. This focused care means you don’t have to wait weeks to be seen—Victoria often has same-day availability and guarantees appointments within a week.

We’re proud to offer this level of access and support for our community. If you’ve noticed a changing spot or have a history of skin cancer, don’t wait.

Call today for peace of mind—and prompt care.

Let’s Talk Vitamin D + Sun Exposure

Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones, immune support, and overall wellness—but how we get it matters.

While sun exposure helps our bodies produce vitamin D, unprotected time in the sun also increases your risk of skin cancer and accelerates skin aging. That’s why we recommend a balanced approach:

• Wear sunscreen daily to protect your skin
• Get your vitamin D levels tested by your primary care provider
• Take supplements if you’re deficient—it’s a safer, more controlled source than sunbathing

You don’t have to risk your skin to support your health. Protect first. Supplement when needed. That’s the smart sun strategy.

Good luck to all the athletes heading into club soccer tryouts this week!

We know how much heart, hustle, and courage it takes to step onto that field—and we’re cheering for every player giving it their all. A special shoutout to Dr. Guerrero’s boys and their teammates—we’re proud of your dedication, sportsmanship, and love for the game.

Here’s to strong kicks, quick feet, and fearless goals. You’ve got this!

From all of us at Eagle Dermatology, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who served and their families. We remember. We honor. We thank you.

Your Skin Loves Water—Here’s Why

Did you know that drinking enough water can actually improve your skin’s appearance and health?

Hydration plays a key role in:
• Maintaining skin elasticity and smoothness
• Reducing the appearance of fine lines
• Supporting your skin’s natural barrier
• Helping flush out toxins that contribute to breakouts

While water alone isn’t a magic fix for all skin concerns, it’s a foundational habit for a healthy, glowing complexion. Pair hydration with a quality skincare routine—and regular dermatology visits—for your best skin yet.

How much water have you had today?
