At The Cottages in Emmett, we had the honor of celebrating one of our residents, Jim, during a beautiful Navy Veteran Pinning Ceremony with Lighthouse Hospice. Family and friends gathered to share memories from Jim’s time serving in the Navy, and it was a powerful moment that brought tears to many of our eyes. Moments like this remind us that every resident who lives here has lived a full life before coming to us with stories, service, family, and history that deserve to be honored.

We are grateful to Lighthouse Hospice and Palliative Care for helping make this ceremony so meaningful and to Jim’s family for allowing us to be part of recognizing his life and service.

At The Cottages, we believe every life deserves dignity, respect, and to be remembered.

A Beautiful Day in the Courtyard at Columbia Village!!

We took full advantage of the beautiful sunshine today as our residents gathered outside in the courtyard for a relaxing and creative flower arranging activity. With the warm sun on our shoulders and fresh blooms in hand, laughter and conversation filled the air.

Residents carefully selected their favorite flowers, arranging colorful bouquets that were just as unique and beautiful as the people who created them. It was a wonderful afternoon of creativity, connection, and enjoying the simple pleasures of a sunny day together.

Moments like these remind us how special it is to slow down, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the beauty all around us. 🌷💐🌞

Our hearts are full after a beautiful Baby Shower celebration at The Cottages Assisted Living. 🍼💗

We would like to give a very special thank you to Christopher Lucky Stewart of The Good Network (thegoodnetworkorg.org) for the generous donation of lifelike baby dolls for our memory care residents.

For many of our residents, holding and caring for a baby doll can bring back treasured memories of motherhood, nurture a sense of purpose, and provide comfort in moments when words may be hard to find. These sweet babies will bring countless hours of cuddles, smiles, and meaningful connection.

Your kindness is more than a donation — it is a gift of joy, dignity, and comfort to the wonderful people who live in our home.

Oh, the fun we had today! 💚🥪

In honor of Dr. Seuss Day, our residents celebrated in the most delicious way — by making green egg salad sandwiches! Inspired by the classic Green Eggs and Ham, we whipped up a bright and tasty twist on a favorite recipe.

There were smiles, laughter, and maybe even a few “I do so like them!” moments around the table. 💚 It’s always a joy to bring a little creativity (and color!) into our day while making special memories together.

Our residents had the best time stepping back in history with a scenic bus trip to Idaho City — a charming old mining town nestled in the beautiful Idaho mountains! 🏔️✨

Once a bustling gold rush town in the 1860s, Idaho City was one of the largest cities in the Northwest during its mining boom. Today, it’s filled with preserved historic buildings, wooden boardwalks, and stories of the pioneers who helped shape Idaho’s early days.

Our residents enjoyed taking in the mountain views, exploring the historic streets, and reminiscing about Idaho’s rich past. There’s something special about visiting a place where history feels so alive — and sharing those moments together makes it even better.

Our residents were treated to the Mennonite School Choir. This group of 7th & 8th grade students are actually in their Junior and Senior year of school. One of the members has a grandpa that is our resident here in Mt Home. They even let us sing along with them to 'Jesus Loves Me' which was so wonderful, we were left feeling the spirit dwell in us & a bit teary-eyed! Thank you to everyone who helped pull this concert together!
