Last week, I spoke with forensic science students at Perkiomen Valley High School along with my Deputy Coroner, Megan Heichel.

We shared what it means to serve as a Coroner, the responsibilities of the role, and the path one can take to enter this profession.

The students impressed us with their curiosity and thoughtful questions. It was inspiring to see such engagement and interest in forensic science and thMontgomery County Coroner’s Office.

I am grateful for opportunities like this to connect with young people in our community and encourage them to explore careers that make a difference.

Thrilled to be back at my old stomping grounds, Jefferson Health – Einstein Montgomery Family Practice where I completed my residency.

I had the pleasure of presenting to the Family Medicine residents about the Montgomery County Coroner’s work and the importance of accurate death certificates.

What a great discussion, and I’m grateful to have connected with the next generation of physicians on such an important topic.

Honored to be a guest on Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church Rev. Dr. Alyn Waller’s podcast “Real Talk”.

Honored to welcome several of our state legislators and their representatives to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for a presentation and tour. I had the opportunity to share an inside look of the essential work we do every day and to highlight the resources and support we need to continue serving Montgomery County, PA, with excellence.

Through open dialogue, I was able to answer thoughtful questions and provide a deeper insight into the challenges our team faces. This visit was a meaningful step toward building stronger partnerships and ensuring we work together to meet the needs of our community.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended. I appreciate your time, interest, and commitment to public service.

A couple weeks ago, I had a great visit with the Family Medicine residents at Abington Family Medicine to talk about the role of the Coroner and the importance of death certificates.

Coroners and physicians rely on each other to ensure every death is documented with clarity and integrity. Building that mutual understanding strengthens that collaboration and ultimately serves our community better.

A huge thank you to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, DC, for welcoming me and my Senior Leadership team and for giving us an insightful tour of their facility.

I appreciated the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Dr. Francisco Diaz and learn from his team’s expertise.

The knowledge and perspectives shared will be incredibly valuable as we bring ideas back to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Last week, I attended the Montgomery County, PA flag raising ceremony to commemorate Veteran’s Month. Today, on Veterans Day, I pause to honor the brave men and women who have served in our nation's armed forces. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our freedoms deserve our deepest gratitude, not just today but every day.

As Montgomery County Coroner, I am reminded daily of the profound impact veterans have had on our communities and our country. We stand in solemn respect for those who gave their lives in service, and we remain committed to supporting those who continue to serve and those who have returned home.

To all veterans: thank you for your service. We remember you. We honor you. We support you.

Yesterday, I had the distinct honor of swearing in our newest Deputy Coroner, Shanna Davis, at her official deputizing ceremony!

She is now entrusted with upholding the mission of the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office: to serve our community with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
