We’re celebrating 2 years of Alliance Easley the right way.

Join us Saturday, April 4th from 10am–12pm for a special Gi Seminar with Tayler Decker as we mark our anniversary with our team and community.

This one’s for everyone—
• FREE for all Alliance members
• $20 for non-members

After the seminar, we’re keeping it going with a Brazilian BBQ 🍖
• $20 per plate
• All proceeds go to support Carolina Storm

⏰ TECHNIQUE TUESDAY: CLOCK CHOKE ⏰

Simple. Sneaky. Effective.

The clock choke is one of those gi submissions that hits fast when everything lines up. From the right position, it doesn’t take much — just the right grip, angle, and pressure.

The tricky part?

Technique Tuesday 🥋

This week we’re looking at the Triangle ➡️ Sickle Sweep from open guard.

When you go to attack the triangle, a common reaction is your opponent standing up to defend. Instead of forcing the submission, we’ll use that reaction to off-balance them and turn it into a sickle sweep.

A great example of using one attack to create another — if they defend the triangle, they give you the sweep. 🔺➡️🧹

The women who support us at home.
The women who stand beside us as partners, mothers, daughters, and friends.
And the women who step onto the mats, tie their belts, and remind us real quick that technique beats ego.

We’re incredibly grateful for the women in our community — the ones who train hard, lift others up, and show what strength really looks like. Strength isn’t just physical. It’s discipline, intelligence, resilience, and kindness all working together.

Whether they’re building families, building careers, or building better versions of themselves on the mat, the women around us continue to inspire.

Technique Tuesday: Omoplata 🥋

The omoplata is one of those techniques that shows how powerful leverage and positioning can be in Jiu-Jitsu. Using your hips and legs, you can isolate the shoulder and control your opponent in a way that opens up multiple attacks.

It’s not just a submission either — the omoplata can lead to sweeps, transitions, and dominant control if your opponent tries to defend.

In class we’re breaking down the details that make this technique work: the angle, the control, and the pressure that keeps your partner from escaping.
