I’m sending a brief synopsis of the past few years to patients/friends to kind of catch everyone up....
This is very difficult and because there are so many, I have decided to text this rather than a personal phone call.
In 2014, Pam got throat cancer. She chose to not make that public. We dealt with it, and after the surgery and chemo and radiation, we got six years of very good health.
14 months ago she was diagnosed with late stage, untreatable lung cancer. Knowing Pam as you do, this did not hold her down. She treated herself and her patients until late July, when she could no longer continue. Nicole has been working with her for about a year and a half, and at that time she had to take over her practice. Although continuing to weaken, I’ve been able to keep her home and keep her quite comfortable until Sunday night. We had to come to the hospital by ambulance, and after all of the tests, it’s become obvious that she will not be returning home. Unless the Lord intervenes, as only He can, it appears that she will be home basking in His glorious presence soon. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, she is only allowed one visitor at a time, which makes it very difficult to accommodate all the family that wants to come and say goodbye. I feel kind of like an air traffic controller, only more stress LOL. All of the kids were here yesterday (Monday) and had a really good opportunity to spend some time with her, and thankfully the hospital is not holding me to any restrictions regarding visiting hours. I am here with her, and she is pretty comfortable.
I cannot stress enough how incredibly good and faithful God has been to us over this past six years. His faithful love truly endures forever. I hope you will not feel slighted or upset that I didn’t share with you sooner, but I had to support her in her decision to keep this on the down low. You know Pam well enough to know that she prefers providing care to others rather than receiving care from others. Please know that you have been a blessing to us.
With tears, both of loss and joy I must tell you that Pam is now at home with her Heavenly Father. Tuesday, September 29, at 12:15pm, Pam joyfully danced into the kingdom with all of heaven rejoicing, and I was blessed to be by her side. When things slow down, I'd love to tell you the glorious story of her home-going. It was truly a gift from God. Be blessed and know that you are loved!

Just a quick note, as I’m on my way out… There is so much to do… Danielle was supposed to be married October 17, but by June it became quite obvious that Pam wouldn’t last till October, so in thirteen days, the kids organized Danie’s entire wedding. It was amazing, quite a gift from God. Danie put a video on Facebook of the kids’ last dance with their mother. They have not let me see it yet, as they feel I’m not quite ready, but they told me it was an incredible expression of their love
