The Rural Outreach Center Our mission is to eradicate rural poverty in Western New York. We assist, empower, and elevate our Participants to self-sufficiency.

We provide counseling for adults in grief and loss, trauma, and other mental health issues, as well as play therapy for children experiencing a wide variety of stressors, including trauma, grief and loss, divorce, and difficulties with social interactions. We are so proud of our care coordinator Kelly Shanahan for being recognized as a Woman of Impact by Fidelis Care! Kelly works hard to connect ROC Participants and community members alike with the supports they need - from connecting with their local food pantry and finding employment readiness training to accessing affordable childcare (and so much more!). We are so proud of her!

Winter ROCs Free Play starts today! Join us every day this week, Monday-Friday, from 2-4PM for fun activities both inside and out! We would like to thank our friends at 's on Main Restaurant for their continued support of The ROC! Back in December, they auctioned off the opportunity to use one of their igloos for Carolcade, with the proceeds going to us and the wonderful folks at PUNT. The Rural Outreach Center will be closed on Monday, February 16th in recognition of Presidents' Day. If you need emergency assistance during that time, please call 911 or Crisis Services at (716) 834-3131. The ROC will reopen with our normal hours on Tuesday, February 17th. Winter Free Play runs daily Monday-Friday from 2-4PM - all are welcome!

We are so excited to share that The ROC received a $20,000 Here for Your Health rural health grant from Fidelis Care to support our efforts to bring physical health screenings directly to rural communities.
