This week, The ROC welcomed two amazing groups of volunteers! On Tuesday, a group from National Fuel spent the afternoon weeding, raking, clearing brush, picking up sticks, and making our grounds look lovely. On Wednesday, a group of students from Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart spent their day raking our garden beds, weeding the labyrinth, and cleaning and organizing our play therapy rooms.

We truly appreciate the hard work of both groups. Please join us in saying thank you!

We love seeing community members coming together! Benzinger's Clothing Care and 2 Danes Furniture Refinishing are hosting a Prom Dress Pop Up in North Collins on Saturday, April 25th for students in need of a prom dress. This is by appointment only - please see flyer for details.

We're so honored to partner on this incredible event! Our team is currently cleaning over 300 gowns to make sure every dress is fresh, beautiful, and ready for prom night. Thank you to everyone who donated! 💙👗

The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is sharing the following survey opportunity:

"OMH is continuing to work hard to reach our goal of a more person-centered mental health system. Part of that work involves including the voices of people who currently receive or have received services in the past in how we measure the quality of mental health programs and services. As we continue to do this inside OMH, we are also asking for help from New Yorkers. We are sending out a survey to hear from youth, young adults, adults, older adults, and families about what you think is most important to measure when deciding if a service “worked” or not.

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes, and your responses will help inform how OMH measure quality of care and whether/how that care helped an individual.

The Rural Outreach Center will be closed on Friday, April 3rd in recognition of Good Friday. If you need emergency assistance during that time, please call 911 or Crisis Services at (716) 834-3131. The ROC will reopen with our normal hours on Monday, April 6th.

After much discussion and careful consideration, The ROC has decided to update the job titles of several staff members to better reflect their day-to-day responsibilities. We will be sharing these changes throughout the day.

Our final job title change is Nichole. Her new job title is 'Chief Officer of "This Seemed Like a Good Idea"'!
