💙 Blue Christmas 💙
This is a long one.
You may have heard of Blue Christmas services held in many Christian churches during the weekend before Christmas.
A Blue Christmas is a sacred space created to honor grief, loss, and the complicated emotions the holidays can bring.
It acknowledges that while the world is celebrating, many hearts are carrying sorrow — for loved ones who are gone, relationships that have changed, dreams that didn’t unfold, or versions of life that no longer exist.
Blue Christmas also offers solace and respite to those who feel they must spend the holidays with family who don’t know how to love them well.
To those who feel unseen, misunderstood, judged, or emotionally unsafe — this space says: you are not alone, and you are not wrong for how you feel.
This season does not require forced joy.
It does not demand smiles over pain.
There is room here for tenderness, honesty, and quiet survival.
If Christmas feels heavy this year, let this be your permission to:
• Grieve what you’ve lost
• Hold boundaries without guilt
• Step back when you need to
• Honor your heart exactly where it is
💙 Gentle reminder:
Your worth is not measured by how festive you feel.
Your healing does not need to match the season’s expectations.
May you find moments of peace, safety, and breath this weekend — even if joy feels far away.
You are held. You matter. And you are deeply worthy of love, exactly as you are.
