It's fitness Friday! 🏋️

Working from home, in school, or spend hours at a desk? Check out these tips on improving posture!

- Lift your chin
- Roll back your shoulders
- Imagine your shoulder blades are wrapped around your spine
- Lift your phone or computer to eye- level

Along with making these small adjustments throughout the day, Kim also recommends choosing a small stretch or exercise to keep your body in motion. This will keep your productivity levels higher as well as your energy levels. Here are some examples of small movements that can be incorporated into your work day:

- Roll each of your ankles in a circular motion to promote blood circulation
- Using a stand- up desk, or standing up once every hour
- Lift up one of your legs, straight in the air (hold for a few seconds)
- Stretch out your arms and neck to relieve tension throughout the day
- Shoulder raises (hold for a few seconds), then lower
- Take a walk during a break, or lunch

Exercising to boost vitality emphasizes muscle synthesis, range of motion, brain health, cardiovascular health, and joint health.

• Aerobic exercise: Activities like swimming, walking, bike riding, etc. continuous movement to improve heart health, and bone health
• Strength training: Preserving muscle is an important factor to lifelong vitality
• HIIT workouts: High- Intensity Interval Training alternates between short bursts of intense activity, and recovery exercises
• Keeping an active lifestyle: People who live in the Earth’s “blue zones” stay active through their lifestyle. This includes things like yard work, dancing, play (sports, games, etc.), walking when possible, and keeping active hobbies.
