Dr. Azer graduated with honors from the Cairo University School of Medicine, Kaser El-Ini, Egypt. He completed his residency in General Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He completed a fellowship in Burn & Wound Care followed by a second fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, both at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, the most prestigious institution in the country. It was there that he trained under world renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Manson. He also completed advanced training at University of Maryland Hospital & Shock Trauma Hospital, where he learned the most advanced surgical technique for complex hernia repair with components separation and limb salvage
