Our egg hunt was a success! It was indoors this year, but in the end, we had over 2 dozen kiddos gather around 1,200 eggs!!! A huge thanks to Kaala, our amazing Activities Director, for all of her hard work in organizing this event. And a huge thank you to all of our hospice groups who contributed to the event, especially Piedmont, which assisted us in the event and helped to organize it.

Dear Residents and Family Members,

It is our pleasure to introduce Valerie Chastain, who is joining Manor Lake Ellijay as one of our Wellness Nurses, primarily serving our Memory Care neighborhood. Valerie brings nearly 15 years of nursing experience and is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Her strong clinical background and genuine passion for serving seniors make her a wonderful addition to our care team.

Valerie has dedicated much of her nursing career to supporting the geriatric population, always striving to ensure each resident is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. She is passionate about advocating for the health, comfort, and quality of life of those entrusted to her care. Valerie’s calm presence, strong clinical knowledge, and heartfelt compassion align beautifully with Manor Lake Ellijay’s mission of providing exceptional care and meaningful connections for our residents and families.

Valerie replaces Buffy Clark, and we are grateful for Buffy’s service and contributions to our community.

We are excited to continue strengthening our leadership and clinical team and are confident that Valerie will play an important role in supporting the well-being of our residents. Desiree brings a strong passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care and is deeply committed to supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of every resident she serves. Her calm demeanor, clinical knowledge, and dedication to building meaningful relationships with residents and families make her a wonderful addition to our leadership team.
Desiree replaces Shannon Lethco, who continues to be a valued member of the Manor Lake family and has recently taken on an expanded role at the corporate level. We are grateful for Shannon’s continued support and leadership within the organization.
