These gentle, effective moves help support your changing body, improve stability, and keep your pelvic floor working with you, not against you.

✨ Adductor rock backs
→ Can help release inner thigh tension while improving pelvic mobility & coordination with breath

✨ Bear planks
→ Build deep core strength and support for your spine & growing belly

✨ Inversions
→ Encourage baby to settle into a more optimal position while taking pressure off the pelvic floor

There are so many great options during pregnancy that cannot fit into one short video, these are just 3 that we love and come back to often 💫

With clearance from your physician, focus on slow, controlled movement and steady breathing. Your body (and baby) will thank you 🤍

Because once you realize how many things are connected to the pelvic floor… it’s hard not to 😅

Leaking when you sneeze
Pain with intimacy
Core weakness or back pain
Feeling pressure or heaviness… down there
Constantly going to the bathroom

These aren’t random. They’re all things we look at every single day!!

So yes… I will absolutely stop mid-convo if something sounds pelvic floor related 🤍

But in all seriousness, so many people are dealing with these things quietly thinking it’s “normal” or something they just have to live with…

🚫Pushing to p*e might seem harmless, but it can actually contribute to pelvic floor dysfunction🚫

Your bladder is designed to empty with relaxation, not force. When you push or strain, you increase pressure on your pelvic floor and disrupt normal bladder emptying patterns. Over time, this may contribute to symptoms like urgency, frequency, leakage, or incomplete emptying.

Instead of pushing, try this:
✨ Sit comfortably and fully relax
✨ Take a few slow breaths
✨ Let your body do the work

If you feel like you have to push to empty, that’s your sign to check in with a pelvic floor PT 💛

Not all leakage = weak pelvic floor

Sometimes it’s a tight, overactive pelvic floor that doesn’t know how to relax 🥴

Kegels without the full picture can actually add more tension, making it harder for your muscles to coordinate when you need them most

This is why assessment matters

Because the right plan isn’t always “do more,” sometimes it’s learning how to let go

If you’ve been doing kegels and not seeing improvement or things feel worse, your body might be asking for a different approach 🙌🏼

Preventive care is care. You don’t need to wait until something feels “bad enough” to get support. Early guidance can make a huge difference in how your body feels long-term.

You don’t have to wait for symptoms to get worse to finally address them. Whether it’s mild leakage, pressure, discomfort, or just feeling “off,” those are all valid reasons to check in.

Your symptoms are real even if testing comes back “normal.” So many pelvic floor concerns don’t show up on imaging or standard exams, but that doesn’t mean they’re not affecting your quality of life.

And your concerns deserve more than a quick “everything looks fine.” You deserve to be heard, understood, and given a plan that actually helps you feel better.

• Avoiding plain water and pretending coffee counts as hydration
