This Christmas Eve, our Learning Collaborative had the privilege of spreading a little extra joy🎄. Inspired by one of our families, our learners created heartfelt cards 💌 and assembled gift bags🛍️ for the residents and staff at a local nursing home.

From thoughtful 💕messages to carefully chosen treats, every detail reflected kindness, empathy, and the true spirit of the season. Personally delivering the gift bags on Christmas Eve made the experience even more meaningful for all of us. Seeing the smiles 😊 on the faces of the residents and staff reminded us that small acts of compassion can make a big impact. 💕

We are so proud of our learners for putting their hearts and positive intentions 🌟 into caring for others. A special thank you to the family who allowed us to help with this thoughtful tradition. Thanks to our community of children and parents for participating in another Compassion in Action project! ✨❤️🎄

A huge thank you to The Wildlife Clinic of RI for visiting our program! 🦉🦅 Our students were absolutely fascinated and inspired by the incredible animal rehabilitation stories, and hands-on learning you shared with us. Your team brought science, compassion, and curiosity to life in such a meaningful way. We’re so grateful for the work you do and for giving our learners an unforgettable experience. 💚🌿

As another Compassion in Action project, our community wrote thank you notes and included ‘You Make a Difference’ poems and keychains to encourage the tireless efforts of the clinic staff and volunteers! ☀️😊

This holiday season, we’re putting compassion into action in a special way. Our community adopted two children for Christmas, making sure their holiday is filled with joy, warmth, and the magic every child deserves. 🎄🎁❤️ From picking out gifts they’ll love, to wrapping each one with care, this experience reminds us what the season is truly about—showing kindness, lifting others up, and spreading happiness. 😊Thank you to our little elves and their parents for helping make this possible. Your generosity is creating a brighter Christmas for two amazing kids in our RI homeschool community.🌟🎄

✨ Today our learners created detailed Rhode Island and U.S. history timelines. By comparing local and national events, they discovered how our small state has played a big role in shaping our country 🇺🇸. Fantastic job 👏🏻 working together to create and present dual history timelines! 🙌🏻

Exploring Rhode Island’s rich history today at Smith’s Castle! 🏰✨ We stepped back in time and learned about Roger Williams and the early settlers, local Indigenous communities, and the stories that shaped our state. From the beautiful grounds, interactive storytelling, and exhibits; every corner of Smith’s Castle had something to teach us.

Our community worked together to earn lunch out at a local restaurant! 👏🏻🍕We practiced applied math and restaurant social skills for this outing. 🙌🏻☀️
