The Sanctuary’s Meditation Miracles Sangha will be meeting today, Sunday, Aug. 31st from 3 to 5 PM. We'll be practicing mindfulness meditation, and then continuing our examination of A Course in Miracles' Teachings on TIME.

Metaphysical Principles of Time

1. Time is a Learning Device.
2. Time can be used to learn two diametrically-opposed things: either that hell is real (ego’s interpretation) or that heaven is real (Holy Spirit’s interpretation.
3. These different views of time correspond to the horizontal and vertical dimensions of time.
4. Horizontal time takes no time in relation to eternity (i.e. God); i.e. time takes no time or all events past and future are simultaneous; i.e. time is holographic.
5. Change (ergo linear time, entropy, death) is an illusion.
6. We are living in the past which does not exist.
7. The way to choose to experience time in a way which teaches the reality of heaven is to experience the Holy Instant.
8. The way to experience the Holy Instant is to let go of all Littleness.
9. The way to let go of all littleness is to stop evaluating the Self in terms of littleness (everything you do or say in the world which you use as a basis for evaluation of self-worth, i.e. idolatry.
10. Resistance to experiencing the Holy Instant is based on fear of experiencing Infinite Communication.
11. There are four obstacles to confronting the fear of Infinite Communication. (1) Desire to Get Rid of Peace - attraction to guilt; (2) Belief that the body can save us - attraction to pain; (3) Fear of Death - attraction to death; (4) Fear of God - Lifting of the Veil.
12. Special Relationships are the ego’s best tool for maintaining fear of communication.
