Today is about renewal, hope, and the power of new beginnings.

At My People, we are reminded that growth takes time, support, and community. Just like the young people we serve, every step forward matters and every new chapter holds possibility.

Wishing our community a peaceful and meaningful Easter.

We had the opportunity to spend time with students at Bloomfield High School, now part of our Future YOUth Initiative (FYI) ecosystem, creating space for real conversations about their future.

Through our SEE360™ surveys and youth-led discussions, students shared honest insights about what is working for them and where they need more support as they prepare for life after high school.

This initiative is led by Dayeshell Muhammad, helping ensure youth voices are centered in this work.

Listening to young people is where real change begins, and their voices matter every step of the way.

If you want to be part of the FYI initiative or learn more about bringing SEE360™ to your school or youth organization, give us a call.

Good manners go a long way, and our LAUNCH clients showed up ready to learn and grow.

From professional introductions to dining etiquette and communication skills, this session was all about building confidence for real life moments. These are the small details that open big doors.

We are proud of each young person who showed up, participated, and leaned into the experience.

My People had the opportunity to table at the Capital Wellness Fair at CT State Capital yesterday 💛

We connected with so many students through honest conversations, shared experiences, and moments that reminded us why this work matters.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, took time to engage, and learned more about what we do. Creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported will always be at the center of our work.

We’re grateful to be part of spaces that prioritize wellness and community.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her life advancing gender equality under the law. Her words remind us that representation matters, and at My People, we believe every voice should have space at the table.

Dr. Mae Jemison made history as the first Black woman in space aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992.

A physician, engineer, and astronaut, she broke barriers and inspired countless young people, especially girls, to dream without limits.

At My People, we celebrate women who show us that the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning.

Title IX, passed in 1972, prohibited sex-based discrimination in education programs and activities that receive federal funding.

Thanks to this law, girls and women gained access to academics, athletics, and leadership opportunities opening doors that were once closed.

At My People, we celebrate all the doors that women continue to open for the next generation.

Our Story

My People Clinical Services (MPCS) is a mission driven, community based social service organization established in the city of Hartford, CT in 2005 to “Support, Empower, and Rebuild” the lives of individuals and families in the Greater Hartford area. As a collective group of culturally competent and diverse professionals consisting of social workers, marriage and family therapists, parent educators, therapeutic support specialists, and professional human service practitioners we aim to advocate, empower, and strengthen the lives of all families behind the mission “To enable My People to help Your People so that Our People will succeed”.

Recognizing the urgency of social and mental health needs of Hartford youth and families, our staff is recruited and trained to provide immediate therapeutic and crisis intervention support services to families. Our treatment services are non-traditional, creative and holistic which highlights several of the strengths of our staff that are dedicated to the wellness of our community. MPCS staffs are trained to advocate and empower youth and parents to overcome family disruptions, parenting deficits, negative effects of domestic violence, substance abuse recovery issues, and other barriers impacting independence, safety, and stability.
