Looking forward to presenting this workshop with Midland Genealogical Society and Grace A. Dow Memorial Library on Wednesday!

"We triangulate!” Have you ever wondered what people mean when they say this about you or another DNA match? We need to “triangulate” with other matches to prove our genetic connection, but how do we do that? We’ll take time to define terms and explore different types of triangulation. Examples will be shared to demonstrate how comparing overlapping segments of autosomal DNA with our cousin matches can help us determine the ancestors we have in common.

The meeting will open with Midland Genealogical Society reports and business, with the DNA program to follow. Register at gadml.librarycalendar.com to receive the Zoom link, or join us in the Orchard Room to watch the virtual program together!

How will we be remembered?

I am passionate about working with you to discover, create and preserve fact-based, biographical records for future generations to treasure. I offer clients my training as an historian, excellent writing skills, research experience, careful eye for detail, and most of all, my compassion for the human experience. In my work, I uphold the standards and best practices set out by genealogists and oral historians.

In addition to having online access to records and collections across the United States and Canada, I am also in close proximity to the Library and Archives of Michigan in Lansing, as well as Ingham County records in Mason, Michigan, and other mid-Michigan repositories. I am also familiar with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
