We had a great time at our Friday the 13th Happy Hour, turning a little superstition into laughter, dancing, and plenty of good luck. Residents and families enjoyed the live music, drinks, great food, and great company.

We’re proud to recognize Februarys OGO, a dedicated CNA who has been part of our team for the past year. Currently a student at MSU, he is pursuing a major in Biology with a minor in Psychology, bringing both compassion and curiosity to the work he does each day.

His coworkers consistently describe him as someone who is always willing to help and who brings a positive attitude to every shift. Whether supporting residents or stepping in to assist a teammate, he’s known for being a dependable presence and a friendly, smiling face throughout the workplace.
Outside of work and school, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing basketball, checking out art, and getting in a workout when he can. His balance of dedication, kindness, and enthusiasm makes him a valued member of our team.

The Willows had a fun day celebrating Rubber Ducky Day !

Rubber Ducky Day is an annual celebration on January 13th.

📺 The holiday was inspired by Ernie from Sesame Street and his famous song “Rubber Duckie” (which even hit the Billboard charts in 1970!).

🛁 Rubber duckies were originally made from hard rubber—they didn’t float until manufacturers switched to vinyl.

🌍 One of the biggest rubber duck races ever involved thousands of ducks released into rivers for charity events around the world.

🚢 In 1992, a cargo ship spilled 28,000 rubber ducks into the ocean—some were found years later on beaches across the globe, helping scientists study ocean currents.

🧸 The rubber duck is often considered a symbol of happiness, comfort, and childhood nostalgia.

🎉 There’s even a giant rubber duck that travels the world—over 60 feet tall—bringing smiles wherever it goes.
