The first Friday of each month is a highly awaited event in The Grand Terrace and Lakeside Gardens community, known as Ice Cream Friday, notable for the visible joy on participants' faces as they take part in trivia and absorbing facts.
Fun Fact: The invention of the ice cream cone occurred accidentally in 1904 at the St. Louis World Fair, where an ice cream vendor, having run out of paper cups, was aided by a waffle vendor who supplied him with waffles.

We hosted a productive Dementia workshop last night, led by the knowledgeable KC from Tri-County Office on Aging. The workshop drew a diverse audience of community members, families, and new attendees, and included a delightful spread of turkey wraps, chocolate chip cookies, and lemon bars, generously provided by Chef Frankie and Karen of culinary.

On Friday afternoon, our community members in The Grand Terrace had a dynamic experience. After lunch, residents relaxed with the activities staff in personalized sessions, then joined a social where they savored coffee, muffins, and participated in trivia and fun facts. The day concluded with bingo, exercise, and supper - a well-rounded afternoon.
