There are only TWO more days the cocoa shack will be open, and ONE last day the train will run!

The train has had a wait time of 20-30 minutes so plan accordingly!

Train tickets are $2 for everyone 2 and up (free for kiddos younger than 2). All ages can ride (yes even adults!)

The cocoa shack sells cocoa for $2, a churro for $4, and a combo (one of each) for $5. You can also get a train combo for $5: a train ticket and a churro.

We're in the southeast corner of the Layton Lights, and accept cash, card, Venmo, and tap to pay (including Apple Pay)

The Duncan Express will be running tonight, tomorrow, the 16th through the 20th, and finally on the 23rd!

The train station is in the parking lot next to the big new pavilion and bathrooms in the southeast corner of the lights

❄️⛄☕ We moved!! Cocoa and train are now in the southeast corner of the Layton Lights! Come say hi and check out the new pavilion too! ☕⛄❄️

The shack will be open from 6-8:30 pm Mondays through Saturdays. The last day is December 23rd. The train has the same hours but different days, check out the calendar below.

As Veterans' Day comes to a close, we want to say thank you to all who serve or have served. 🖤🌹

We were honored to be able to take part in the Veterans' Day parade this Saturday, it was extra nice to be escorted by lovely local scout troops.

We were able to spend lunch with District Governor Suzanne Leonelli-Wilhelm and her assistant Scott Rosenbush 🥳

Utah is an entire district, and district governors go on a state tour, spending a meeting with every club within the year. Utah has 45 clubs so it's quite a trek o.o

As part of her visit she helped deliver a Paul Harris Fellow Award to Chris. This is Chris's first time receiving one, here's to many more! 🌟

MyHometown Layton had their open house last night! Lots of goodies, lots of free classes coming, and a superb sunset, which I consider auspicious ✨ We're especially looking forward to the service days~

Announcing Active Pages: Dracula
One of our most popular free programs is back October 11th!

Walk through the park as you listen to the chilling tale of Bram Stoker's Dracula. This spooky event is appropriate for all ages. Children 18 and under receive a free book.

Tickets are free but required- available September 22nd at 10am at www.davisarts.org

We hope you're having a good Day of Service.
We want to thank our first responders in Layton, including firefighters, police, utilities, dispatchers, and many more people who keep this city safe and functional, thank you ❤️

We were able to put together some gift bags for about 300 of our first responders this year! Thank you to those who donated their time to write cards and make paracord keychains at the Youth Day of Service last June with JustServe, and to companies who donated to the bags, including Living Spaces, Texas Roadhouse, Shiny Shell Car Wash, Boondocks Food & Fun, Davis Lanes, Arby's, RC Willey, MOD Pizza, Get Some Guns and Ammo, Lovee's Cakes

Another July, another Rotary year wrapped up. Thank you to Clark for being our president not only last year, but the year prior as well! And thank you to Kara for taking on the mantle this upcoming year. We had a lovely party to celebrate, featuring the cutest of us: Maggie May, plus we discovered a crown for Kara! 😄

WOW! We had over 500 attend our Global Youth Service Day at Layton High! That’s incredible support for 16 community projects, especially for the first year! We love you Layton City Utah!

Here are a few of the outstanding projects:
200 Tiny Tim's Foundation for Kids Wooden Cars
350 Pantry Packs
50 Birthday Kits for Teen Centers
350 Paracord Keychains for First Responders
80 Magic Hair Skeins
100’s of Hearts for The Peyton Heart Project
10 Giant Bags of Coats for Kids
Thousands of Books Collected

Thanks go to all the attendees for your hard work! This will mean so much to the many people receiving these special gifts. Also, thank you Layton High School and Young Caring For Our Young Foundation for the pantry packs. And thanks to all the Rotarians involved in making this happen.

What a great day! Let’s do it again next year.

SORTING DAY! We dropped by Open Doors for lunch on Wednesday and bagged canned goods that will be ready to quickly hand out. Thanks for jumping in everyone! Also, check out our active, new members: Danny, Tami and Andrew! We're so glad you've joined the Layton Rotary!
