Register Book Available at the Dawson Funeral Home for Coach Lou Holtz this Friday.

Dawson Funeral Home will make a register book available for members of the community who would like to express their condolences and support for the family of Coach Lou Holtz.

The register book will be available Friday, March 13th, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Afterward, it will be presented to the Holtz family following services at the University of Notre Dame on Monday.

Friends and community members are invited to stop by and sign the book. Notes and cards may also be left and will be given to the family as well. However, flowers and gifts cannot be transported to South Bend. Additionally, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart does not decorate the church with flowers during the Lenten season and respectfully asks that they not be sent for the service.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 7 to 10 pm at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart with a private burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, Indiana. There is no viewing or service in East Liverpool.
