As of 5:15pm last night, Cicada (Kay) the duck was euthanized due to her ongoing issues with septic arthritis.. Though she tried so hard to hold on for us, her battles have finally ended.. I will be posting later with more info, so please send good vibes and prayers our way- especially for Evie (she is devastated).. 💔

💉 Medical update!..Here I'm explaining the medicine Cidada got for her Septic Arthritis, pain meds and the very important antibiotic to hopefully push her in the right direction.. There will be more updates as time goes on, but we're very hopeful..! ❤

🌞 Good Morning Everyone!.. :( I am so sorry about the "LIVE" that was supposed to happen this morning, the Wi-Fi doesn't want to work right today and TikTok decided not to verify my "Age" yet... So with that said i will just be making a "Tutorial video"- if you will- about the new meds Kay is on and what our morning routine looks like for now.. Hope you get a chance to see it, and i apologize for everyone who wanted it to happen, maybe i can get it up and going for another morning!.. 🤗 Thanks for all of your understanding messages..

She looks good today.. 🙃 Feathers are starting to soften again, the dredging seems to be slowly getting better.. Though this is just what I'm seeing on the outside, Idk how it's going on inside of her but I can tell that the pain isn't as bad for she's not grabbing at herself (or dredging her feathers) currently... Whatever U'all are doing please keep doing it..! Pray, Meditate, vibe, whatever it is keep sending it our way please..!

The one thing I know too well about time, is that its not fair for being so constricted.. I wish time could be measured by love, because then I'd know for a fact that Cicada could Live multiple time lives...but maybe that's when we need to let go and wait for her again, in another sould of another life we'll all be reunited...
There is still hope, and I will hold on as long as I can; with that said though I will NOT let her suffer, and will make the right decision when it comes time too.. 💔

💔We had a scheduled Vet appointment today, and unfortunately our worst fears have come true..... Cicada does indeed have septic arthritis, and our only hope of her turning around is two courses of stronge meds for the next three days... Unfortunately this is a cruel joke nature likes to play on these genetically motified animals; Jumbo Pekins were bread to grow heavy with meat and pump out egg after egg like an assembly line, dying tragically young because of numerous health issues attributed to them... Naturally Ducks should live upto 10-20yrs depending on the breed, we knew she would not stretch it out that long but 5 yrs seems way too short, thus- a cruel joke...
There will be updates eventually, right now we are all surrounding Cicada with love and comfort foods (along with her meds).. If these meds don't take, then we may have to uthenize Kay from the slow suffering she is enduring on a daily basis now.. So please EVERYONE keep Kay in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts, and please send her your good vibes and possitive energies..! Anything helps and God knows I would trade places with her in a heart beat, and if i knew a way I wouldn't hesitate for a second.. Evie needs her, and sadly I think I may need her more..
