Problems In Wars:

“The First Casualty of War Is Truth”

“The History of The War is Written by The
Winner”.

History is “ his story”

If you do not read both stories, you are
being Indoctrinated.

All Spokespersons and Politicians on both
sides in Wars, tell lies or half truths.

“There are many opinions, but only one truth”.

Citizens of Countries subscribe to the
following, “My Country, Right or wrong” or
risk being charged with Treason.

“Conflict is not a contest between “good and “evil”, but rather, a contest between Truth
and Lies”.

“Extremism in the pursuit of Liberty is no
Vice”. “Moderation, in pursuit of Justice is
no Virtue”.(Sen. Barry Goldwater, Republican, Arizona).

“There are only facts. There are no Alternative Facts”.

Education is exposure to the Facts and
many opinions.

When you hear an opinion expressed by
someone you respond, “I do not think (so”,)
say no more, because you have defined
the problem.

In Education, Philosophers have demonstrated that it is possible to acquire
Truth. If you accept that premise, It follows
that you do not have a right to an opinion.
What you have a right to is an “informed
Opinion”

Diversity

In a group of randomly selected individuals
there will be great diversity. If you are the
smartest person in the room, you need to leave because you are in the wrong
room.

101 Wisdom Keys
By Mike Murdock

“Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and with all thy getting get understanding.”

The Wisdom Center
Denton, Texas76202

“Forgiveness does not erase the past but it does give freedom to he who forgives.”

“Failure is an event, not a person.”

“Children are like wet snow. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.”

“Coming together is a beginning.
Staying together is progress.
Working together is a blessing.”

“People like to say that the real conflict is
between good and evil.
The truth is that the conflict is between
truth and lies.”

“The line between good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being.”

“Nothing is so common as the wish to be
remarkable.”

“Not knowing how you feel is not the same
as feeling nothing.”

“At a time of universal deceit——telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

“No man is happy without some delusions.
Delusions are as necessary in life as Reality.”

Which is more difficult? To forgive an
individual who has aggrieved you or to ever
trust such an individual,again?

Obviously, such a situation can have
quite a few moral, religious, philosophical, racial and political implications. White
racists, to me, are in a special category and
deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I feel an imperative to forgive all others if I expect
God to forgive me. The process requires
much thought and prayer and the most
difficult endeavor is restoring trust. A very
famous politician in 1980, stated it very
succinctly, (concerning the Russians)Trust But Verify). The individual who does not
forgive, stores up the anger that can
detract from his/her overall efficiency,
leaving less energy available for other pursuits.

“Unrequited love” is actually a distorted
perception and there is nothing to forgive.

Cov-19 Still Spreading:

In the News: The CDC has indicated that the Virus is spreading again, especially in large
groups of people in enclosed settings.
Consequently, some of us will not be
attending the NJABPsi 50th Anniversary
in October. Those of us who are Elderly cannot risk being infected. We regret that
decision.

Euphemism:

The acronym “ABD” is a misnomer. There is no synonym for the Doctorate. The Dissertation ( original research), in many
situations, is the Ph.D.. The real meaning of
“ABD” is: “the requirements for the Ph.D.
not completed.”

A “9/11 Remembrance”

The “Forgotten War”

Please do not forget the Veterans, living
or dead, of the Korean War. There are still
American soldiers serving in South Korea near the Demilitarized Zone. The war has never been declared officially over.

Today’s Word

As we grow older (>85), our World gets smaller. We have fewer friends on whom we can rely, due to deaths,
dementia and other maladies of old age.
Old friends who are still alive have similar
conditions and the young do not have a
clue as to what being Elderly entails.
Perhaps we ought to expect no responses
from younger people and spend our remaining years adjusting to being Elderly.
It is interesting to remember that when I was
in my late teens and early twenties I considered adults in their early 40s to be
“old”.

INSIGHT

“Wisdom is the ability to discern differences”

Time (Age) does not necessarily lead to Wisdom.

Wisdom comes with Experience.

“Conversation is the seed for knowledge”
Knowledge is the seed change.

Knowledge is also the product of Experience.

Wisdom is also the product of Experience.

Some Elderly individuals are not Wise.

Some young people, who practice, are wise.

Individuals who can discern differences

usually succeed in school and professionally.

(This is the essence of Advanced Degrees).

Today’s Remembrance:

God’s blessing coupled with the “GI Bill”,
A combination that is responsible for my
professional development. The journey began 72 years ago (9/17/1951), when I joined the
United States Air Force. I began college
three years after my discharge and the
“GI Bill “ paid my tuition through the
degrees earned, BA, MA, Ph.D.)
