Here are a few fall prevention tips.
It is VERY important to help elders stay balanced and on their feet.
Falling is bad for their body and for their mental state.
They can get into a place of constant fear if they fall.
Two other great tips are to check all rugs. Make sure they are secure so that seniors do not trip on them or slide.
And grabbers so that they don't have to lean down or reach up too much.

We don't have snow here in the Bay Area but things can get a bit icy and very cold.
Especially for elders.
If it's not possible to go outside maybe try helping the elders in your life to do some chair exercises or move around the house at least.
A body in motion stays in motion.

Some times we just need a good nights sleep to wake up the next day and start all over.

Here are some good fire safety tips for elders.
We can all use this information though.
Please help the seniors in your life with things like checking their furnace filters, batteries in their smoke detectors and friendly check ups and reminders. 😊👍

Self-care is extremely important every day but especially during this hectic season.
It may seem selfish to some, but you cannot be of service to others if you are not getting enough rest, if you are not eating enough and well, and if you are not recharging your batteries.
Balance in life can be difficult, but please try to do little things for yourself.
Take a quick walk around the block to get some fresh air and clear your head.
Call a family member or friend.
Take a power nap.
Then you will feel recharged and ready to take on the next task. 😁🧡👍
