🤎 Sometimes a yeast infection is more than a yeast infection.

A patient came in for what seemed like a routine yeast infection — but that wasn’t the full story.

Her blood sugar was over 300.
Her A1c was greater than 10.
This visit led to a new diagnosis of diabetes.

High blood sugar creates the perfect environment for yeast and bacteria to thrive. That means recurrent or stubborn infections can be an early warning sign of something deeper going on in the body.
