Wondering if Oregon Health Plan (OHP) will cover therapy in Portland? Yes — and we can help you use it. At Health Allies Counseling we accept OHP, offer telehealth statewide, and provide trauma‑informed, LGBTQIA+ and gender‑affirming care for BIPOC clients and immigrants.

Here’s how to get started: confirm your OHP enrollment, contact our intake team, and we’ll verify benefits and match you with a therapist who gets your experience. We also offer sliding scale fees, evening/weekend hours, and EMDR for trauma when medically appropriate.

We believe mental health care should be accessible to everyone in Oregon. Ready to find support? Call or text 971-270-0167 or visit the link to learn more and request a new-client intake. Let’s make care easier to reach — together. 💚🤝

Starting therapy can feel like a lot—especially when your first appointment is with an intake therapist instead of the clinician you'll keep seeing. At Health Allies Counseling, our intake appointments are designed to protect your access to care, speed up the right insurance documentation, and help us match you with a therapist who truly gets you.

Our intake clinicians (like Katie Krail, who brings warmth and skill to each first visit) gather what matters: your goals, concerns, and practical details needed for coverage—without forcing you to share anything you’re not ready to. This step helps your ongoing therapist begin with momentum, not from zero.

We’re an LGBTQIA+ focused, trans-affirming, anti-racist practice serving Portland and all of Oregon by telehealth. We accept Oregon Health Plan (including HealthShare/CareOregon, Trillium, Columbia Pacific, Jackson Care Connect, Open Card), Kaiser, Providence, Cigna, BCBS, Aetna, PacificSource, Regence, and offer a sliding scale for uninsured clients.

Questions or nervous? That’s normal. Call or text us at 971-270-0167 or visit the link to learn more and schedule a free 15-minute consult. We’re honored to walk this first step with you. 💚🩵

We often hear “trauma” and “PTSD” used like they mean the same thing — but they don’t. Trauma is the wound; PTSD is one way that wound can become persistent if it doesn’t get care. At Health Allies Counseling, we offer EMDR, trauma‑focused CBT, somatic work, and gender‑affirming approaches to help Oregonians heal — in person in Portland or via telehealth across the state.

Are your reactions to past events affecting daily life? You don’t have to carry it alone. Call or text us for a free 15‑minute consult: 971‑270‑0167. Learn more and book: https://wix.to/QxxgV1p
