CONVERSATIONS WITH THE BRUSH

Join us for a new monthly event at Rhode Island Zen Dojo: Conversations with the Brush.

On Sunday, November 9th,  Martinez Sensei will offer a short talk on the concept of Kiai — the energetic vitality that lies at the heart of our Zen practice. He will demonstrate how to write Kiai in Zen calligraphy, expressing its spirit through the movement of the brush. Each participant will receive a small calligraphy piece to take home as a keepsake and reminder of the practice.

This even is open to everyone. No prior experience in meditation or calligraphy is required.

We will have limited space, so please register to attend. DM us to get the link!
