What a week we are having! Nothing better than dinner and a show!

This week residents from The Loft at Linn and Winslow Gardens enjoyed an unforgettable evening at for a lively Irish themed show followed by dinner at Chelo’s!

From music and laughter to great food and even better company.

401Gives was a big success! We raised $25,000 for elders in need, with over 100 different donors. We also placed in the top 50, out of 705 non-profits that participated from across RI. On behalf of Aldersbridge Communities, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who donated, supported, and spread the word. You all have proven that a small group of committed people can make a big difference.

You can help make a wish come true! We are just $4,000 away from our 401Gives goal, and every donation counts! Your donation will directly support programs that add life to the years of our elder residents, like our ElderVentures wish granting program. Through this program, we grant an elder’s wish, whether it is receiving a replica of a lost wedding ring, tickets to a sports match, or getting to go to a loved one’s wedding. When was the last time you sat with an elder and just listened? Maybe it was your grandmother talking about how she first fell in love, or a neighbor who didn’t have many visitors, but lit up when you asked how they were…In the rush of life, it is easy for so many to forget the wisdom and joy that elders bring to our lives. But it just takes a single moment to make a difference.
At communities like ours, these moments matter more than anything. A birthday remembered. An old favorite song played. A hand held. A story heard.

Today is 401Gives, and we’re trying to make more of those moments possible, especially for elders who don’t have the resources or support they deserve. Right now, every donation to support our work is doubled, but only until 6 PM tomorrow.

Every donation will be doubled this 401Gives! Thanks to Waterson Terminal Services of the Port of Providence, who generously committed a $5,000 matching gift, along with an anonymous donor and many members of our community, we now have over $16,000 in matching funds.

That means we have the chance to raise more than $32,000 to support elders in need. Get ready on Tuesday, March 31st for the biggest day of giving in Rhode Island!

Do you know about 401Gives? 401Gives is Rhode Island’s largest day of giving! Almost every non-profit in the state will be joining in a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money between 6am on 3/31 and 6pm on 4/01. Last year, we placed #38 out of 650 and this year, our goal is to break the top 30.

As many of you know, we are a community non-profit and rely on the support of people like you to continue our work of providing affordable housing and care for elders in need across Rhode Island. Whether it is dancing or singing along to local performers, taking a trip to the beach and enjoying Del's Lemonade, or getting a lifelong wish granted, the elders in our community continue to live life to the fullest because of your support. This 401Gives, every donation will be doubled thanks to over $16,000 in matching donations. On March 31st, let’s join together to make a difference for the elders living in our community.

On St. Patrick's Day, we went next door to visit our friends at Winslow Gardens to enjoy the music of John Sage. It was his first time entertaining us and everyone loved it!
