✂️🎨 Creativity was in the room yesterday as we got to work on a fun collaging project! Everyone was sorting through all of the wonderful magazine clippings for their favorite colors and images, to make something unique. We can’t wait to see how this masterpiece comes together- stay tuned! 🌟

🥠✨ One of our Life Enrichment team members, Anthony, cracked open a fortune cookie the other day and found this little gem inside:
“Find joy in the arts through music, dance, or visual arts.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! 🎶🎨💃
It’s something we already know and believe in wholeheartedly here at Hattie Ide Chaffee Home- but hey, now it’s officially backed by a cookie. 🍪😄

Four Generations of Love
Wonderful Mark Hawk recently received the most precious of visits- meeting his great-grandson Joseph James (JJ) for the very first time.
Four generations gathered together, a moment that words can barely capture. Mark, his daughter, her son, and now little JJ, all in one room.
These are the moments that remind us why what we do matters so much. Life is rich and life is full!💛

Today we are celebrating a very special lady, our beautiful Vivian is turning 95! 🎉🎂
Vivian is truly one of a kind, and the love that surrounds her today is a reflection of the joy she brings to everyone around her. Wishing her a birthday as wonderful as she is!

🌟 Employee of the Month- April 2026 🌟
Congratulations to Joanne Chin, our Employee of the Month for April!
Joanne joined us as a part-time receptionist and will be celebrating her one-year anniversary with us this July. Before coming to Hattie Ide Chaffee Home, Joanne spent much of her career as a dental and medical assistant experience that shines through in her calm, capable, and caring approach at the front desk.
When she’s not here, Joanne loves camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
This month, we want to recognize Joanne for something truly above and beyond. During our recent snowstorm, Joanne stayed here for two nights to hold down the reception area and keep the phones covered, making sure our residents and families were never left without support. It’s no surprise to those who know her, Joanne brings real storm experience, having worked with FEMA in the past.
Joanne, your dedication, reliability, and heart mean the world to us. We are so lucky to have you on our team. Thank you for everything you do! 💙

☀️ We just couldn’t resist! 🌸Today gave us our first really beautiful day of the season, and honestly? We soaked up every single second. Fresh air, sunshine, and smiles, this is what we live for! 😄
And just wait… in about a month, our rose garden will be in FULL bloom. 🌹🌹🌹 We’re talking gorgeous, fragrant, stop-you-in-your-tracks roses.
So mark your calendars and come visit us! We’ll be out on the patio with a cold glass of lemonade 🍋 waiting just for you.

What a wonderful Saturday morning at Hattie Ide Chaffee Home! 🌹Our Garden Club was so pleased to welcome the Rhode Island Rose Society for a Rose Care Workshop. A complete guide to growing beautiful roses!
Our knowledgeable friends from the Rhode Island Rose Society walked us through everything from pruning and fertilization to watering, and whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, there was something for everyone. We made so many new friends and learned so much.
A huge thank you to the Rhode Island Rose Society for sharing your knowledge and passion with us today. We cannot wait to have you back! 🌹
