We just have to take a moment to shout out Trader Joe’s, for such gorgeous, fresh flowers!
The beautiful blooms💐 never fail to brighten our day (and our home!). From the softest pinks to the boldest reds and yellows, the tulips are simply stunning!

🐾 Introducing Olive- Our Newest Member of the Hattie Ide Family! 🐾
We are so thrilled to welcome a very special visitor to Hattie Ide- meet Olive! 🌿
Olive is a 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a gentle presence and a gift for bringing comfort and joy to everyone she meets. She and her owner, Julia Mann, are graduates of the University of Rhode Island’s WindWalker Professional Pet Assisted Therapy program, where Olive developed a beautiful specialty in working with individuals in end-of-life care.
Together, Julia and Olive work to offer compassion, connection, and a reminder that joy is always possible.💛
We are so grateful that Olive found her way to us! Something tells us she is going to be a very popular girl! 🐶

We were thrilled to have John Torgan, State Director of The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island, visit the Hattie Ide Chaffee Garden Club 🌺 today!
John gave us a fabulous presentation about The Nature Conservancy’s preserves throughout Rhode Island, the thoughtful process behind establishing these protected spaces, and the beautiful sites that are open to the public. We were captivated by his knowledge and passion for conservation.

Update on our amaryllis adventure! 🌺💕
It’s been about 4 weeks since we planted those 40 amaryllis bulbs, and we have some exciting news to share! Thanks to ideal growing conditions, our amaryllis are already showing the most beautiful blooms, just in time for Valentine’s Day!
We couldn’t be happier with how quickly and gorgeously these flowers have emerged. Mother Nature gave us the perfect Valentine’s gift this year!

What a beautiful day! We had the most wonderful time at the Venus de Milo Restaurant Senior Valentine Party. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was decorated so beautifully for the occasion. The music by Vini Ames Music was fantastic. We danced the afternoon away! It was such a special celebration, and we can’t wait to go back. ❤️
