Nina-Shevon Steverson LMHC, NCC Adult and Couples therapy "I believe therapy can be healing, richly informative, rewarding and preventative. You have those qualities though, we all do.

With that said, it is also hard to show vulnerability. It takes courage and bravery to allow yourself to be vulnerable and that is no easy task. Allow me to help you along in your journey..." Nina-Shevon Steverson, LMHC

As the days grow shorter and sunlight becomes scarce, many of us notice changes in our mood, energy, motivation, and sleep. Seasonal depression — also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) — can feel heavy, isolating, and discouraging.

This guided meditation from Acclivity Mindfulness is designed to gently support you through the darker seasons. Together, we focus on:

✨ Grounding your nervous system
✨ Softening self-criticism and guilt around low energy
✨ Reconnecting with inner warmth and hope
✨ Cultivating small, sustainable moments of light

You are not lazy.
You are not failing.
Your body and brain are responding to seasonal shifts — and you deserve compassion, not pressure.

This practice is especially helpful if you are experiencing:
• Low motivation
• Increased sleep or fatigue
• Irritability
• Social withdrawal
• Hopeless or heavy thoughts

Find a quiet space, dim the lights, and allow yourself this intentional pause. Even a few mindful minutes can gently reset your system.

If this meditation supports you, subscribe to Acclivity Mindfulness for more practices focused on emotional regulation, anxiety relief, grief, ADHD support, and everyday grounding.

Why I Started Acclivity Mindfulness

Acclivity Mindfulness began as a heart project.
Not a business plan. Not a marketing strategy.
But a genuine desire to make mental wellness feel more accessible, human, and real.

As a therapist, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside so many people who are doing their very best to survive, heal, and grow — often while carrying more than anyone realizes. Over and over, I heard the same thing:
“I wish I had something I could turn to between sessions.”
“I don’t know how to practice mindfulness on my own.”
“I want support, but I don’t always have access.”

And that stayed with me.

Acclivity Mindfulness was created to be that space — a free, welcoming resource for my clients and for anyone who needs a moment of calm in a noisy world. A place where mindfulness isn’t intimidating or perfect, but gentle, practical, and real. Where you don’t have to get it “right” — you just have to show up.

This channel is my way of extending care beyond the therapy room. It’s for the late-night worriers, the overwhelmed parents, the exhausted professionals, the healing hearts, and the people who are just trying to breathe through another day. It’s for anyone who needs a pause, a reset, or a reminder that they’re not alone.

Acclivity Mindfulness is rooted in the belief that small moments of awareness can create powerful shifts — in how we think, how we feel, and how we live. If these videos bring even one person a sense of peace, grounding, or hope, then this project has already done exactly what it was meant to do.

Welcome to Acclivity Mindfulness.
This is more than a channel — it’s a shared journey toward calm, clarity, and compassion.

"When I decided to started my private practice, I had no idea where to start from. Nina, provided a step by step guide on what I needed. From admin, to EHR, to EAP organizations, I felt guided. Though those things were helpful, one thing that stood out the most was her support and encouragement along the way. Using her service is worth every SINGLE penny. “
