A recent Washington University study affirms the importance of our Drop-In Center. Our Drop-In Center staff builds trust and relationships with center guests over the course of many visits. The study shows that Drop-In Center guests were more likely to make use of substance use, mental health, and crisis services. Building trusting relationships is improving the mental health of our community.

In interviews with Washington University researchers, guests of our Drop-In Center noted that the Drop-In Center and CBHC helped serve as a "one-stop shop" for many of their mental health and healthcare needs. Guests appreciate the wide variety of services offered so that they do not have to visit different agencies for different needs.

We were so pleased to break ground with our partners at St. Clair County and Middendorf & Reuss Construction on the JoAnn Pisel Center at our East Campus. Once open, the Pisel Center will offer 20 efficiency apartments for clients who are ready to live independently!

We were very pleased to take part in the ribbon cutting for the newly improved bus stop in front of our main campus. Improvements included a large paved waiting area and a new bench. This is part of the "Story of a Bench" project connecting the St. Clair County Transit District, Metro Transit, the AARP, and Citizens for Modern Transit. More comfort improvements coming to this stop soon!

At The Living Room we offer a safe and comfortable environment in which people in crisis can get support from trained staff and be connected to other available resources 24/7/365. 505 S. 8th St. in East St. Louis.

Our crisis responders are available 24-hours a day for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Responders can come to you to provide assessment, stabilization, and referral to more services. Call us any time at 618-482-7330

Our Supported Residential program is designed for individuals who are moving toward living independently. Residents are placed into their own private homes with support from our staff available during the week to help with building and maintaining their independence.
