πŸŒͺ️ TORNADO SAFETY, Y'ALL!! πŸŒͺ️
It is important to know the difference between a WATCH and WARNING when it comes to severe weather.
πŸŒͺ️ A WATCH means the conditions (or ingredients) are all there for either a severe weather or a tornado to develop.
πŸŒͺ️ A WARNING means severe weather or a tornado is occurring or about to occur in your area.

It is also important to know your sirens.
πŸ”₯ Fire Call Siren: A rising and falling tone sound that changes pitch. This usually lasts one to two minutes. οΏΌ
πŸŒͺ️ Tornado Siren: A long, continuous, steady, and single-tone blast that lasts for 3 to 5 minutes.
See cover immediately!!

It's that time of year.
Stay safe, folks!

Our crew recently received recognition for a patient that we transported who was having a heart attack. The goal established by the American Heart Assoc is 90 mins from First Medical Contact to Device. With combined efforts of EMS and Aultman Hospital, this time was minimized to just 59 mins.
We wish this patient a great recovery!!

Good afternoon.
I wanted to commend your crew for the outstanding care provided to a patient on Saturday, February 28. EMS was called to the home of the 52-year-old male experiencing chest pain. First Medical Contact was established by your crew at 01:47. An EKG was quickly performed and transmitted to Aultman ED at 01:49, activating the STEMI alert at 01:55. Your unit arrived to Aultman with the patient at 02:04. Upon arrival of the call team, the patient was taken emergently to the cath lab. Results of the heart catheterization showed a 100% occlusion of the patient’s RCA. Perfusion was restored to the vessel through balloon angioplasty and the placement of one stent. Post-procedure, the patient was cared for in the CCU. His recovery was without complication, and the patient was discharged home on Monday, March 2.

Firefighter Ed is sharin' some thoughts...

Firefighter Ed has a special message--

ATTENTION LOCAL PYRO ENTHUSIASTS:
It has come to our attention that some of y'all wake up and think:
β€œYou know what we should do on this perfectly windy Spring'ish day?"
πŸ”₯ FFFYYYYYAAAA!! πŸ”₯
NO!
NO!!
NO!!!
For the Spring months of March, April, and May, there will be NO BURNING between 6am and 6pm.
State's rules. Not ours, folks.
That’s right--
From "I need coffee" to "I need wine" you are NOT allowed to light off:
🚫 Leaves
🚫 Sticks
🚫 β€œJust some old brush”
🚫 Those Amazon boxes you’ve been side-eyeing in the mudroom
🚫 Or whatever β€œcontrolled situation” you and 'ole Skeeter yeet-up

After 6p? Fine.
Be responsible, you little campfire goblins.

As your first responders, we prefer to be under-stimulated.
Stay unignited.
Holler if ya need us--
