Yesterday, we celebrated 211 Day 💙

Every day, our Crisis Services team answers calls from people who need help with food, housing, utilities, transportation, mental health support, and so much more.

Behind every 2-1-1 call is a real person navigating something heavy. And behind every answered call is a trained specialist ready to listen, problem-solve, and connect them to local resources 24/7.

We’re proud to be part of a network that makes help easy to remember and simple to access: just dial 2-1-1.

Thank you to our dedicated team for showing up with compassion and expertise every single day. And thank you to our community partners who make those referrals possible.

Connection is powerful. And it starts with three numbers. 📞💙

Today is Giving Tuesday, and at Contact, we’re thinking about our community members who reach out to us every day, and the people who make it possible for us to show up for them.

Because of community support, we’re able to be there when:
📞 Someone calls 988 in a moment of crisis
📲 A neighbor dials 211 looking for housing, food, or basic needs
🏫 A student trusts one of our school counselors with something heavy they’ve been carrying

To everyone who has donated, shared our mission, or supported our work in any way: thank you.

You help us provide hope, connection, and care across Central New York.

If you’re able to give today, we’re grateful for your support. Donate online: https://www.contactsyracuse.org/donate/

On October 19, our team joined the Onondaga Community College Men’s Lacrosse team at the SRC Arena for a memorial walk honoring their teammate, Ty Freyer, whose life was tragically lost to su***de. 💙🥍

Together, we walked to honor Ty’s memory, to support one another, and to remind our community that no one should ever struggle alone.

Contact is here 24/7 to listen, support, and connect people to help through the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and 211 for essential community resources.

A heartfelt thank you to Coach Erik Mattox, the entire Onondaga Community College Athletics Lacross team, and everyone who came together to raise awareness and support mental health in our community.

☎️ If you or someone you know needs help, call or text 988 today.
📣 Please share this post to help spread hope and awareness.
