Mold growth is most prevalent from early spring to mid-fall, but its peak is during late summer.

Mold in your home can make you sick, especially if you have allergies or asthma. Whether or not you're allergic to molds, mold exposure can irritate your eyes, skin, nose, throat, and lungs. Protect your home and health by learning how to identify, remove, and prevent mold.

Recently, you may have seen a facebook post directing people to call an “866” phone number for “United Way” and a “COVID-19 Economic Relief Fun offering help with bills, rent and food.”

The phone number -- and the program referenced in the facebook post – are not related to the efforts of United Way of Central New York.

It was created with good intentions, by someone who received assistance from Indiana 211, but the specific assistance it refers to is related to United Way of Central Indiana’s COVID-19 fund – for residents of Indiana.

Our local 211 CNY is available 24/7 to assist with health and human services in Central New York.

United Way of Central New York is coordinating volunteers through our initiative www.VolunteerCNY.org

In addition, we are concentrating on developing funding support for our local community of non-profit agencies. More news regarding the CNY specific fund will be shared this afternoon on our page and our website www.unitedway-cny.org.
