Alyssa offers a warm, supportive space for children, teens, adults, and families to gently explore their experiences and begin healing. With a compassionate, strength-based approach, she helps clients build coping skills, process emotions, and reconnect with themselves.

Welcome Chris Downs to the Mindset Time Counseling Team!

We’re excited to welcome Chris Downs, LPC-A, to our Mindset Time Counseling family! Chris brings a warm, compassionate presence and a holistic, trauma-informed approach to supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life’s challenges.

Chris integrates evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices to help clients build resilience, understand their emotions, and grow stronger mind, body, and spirit.

He has experience working with individuals navigating developmental disabilities, substance use, PTSD, mood disorders, and anxiety, and has led grief and loss groups for kids and teens. Chris is dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered on their healing journey.

Outside the therapy room, Chris enjoys spending time with animals, traveling, hiking, and attending concerts.

We’re grateful to have Chris on our team and look forward to the meaningful work he’ll continue to do in our community.

Chris is now accepting in-person clients at our East Windsor office, as well as telehealth clients across Connecticut.
