πŸ“£ We need furniture to set up 40 apartments this fall! πŸ“£

The IRIS team is working diligently to support refugee newcomers, but we're in dire need of basic furniture to turn apartments into welcoming homes. Please consider donating:

Dressers
Dining tables & chairs
End tables
Small sofas
Rugs

We're also collecting household items (dishes, pots, pans, lamps, utensils & toys) & winter gear (coats, gloves, hats, & boots). Please *share* & check out our full list & drop-off instructions in New Haven, Hartford, or schedule a pickup!

IRIS is ready to welcome an increase of refugee families from Syria, Afghanistan & the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the next few months.

One of our biggest challenges is finding affordable housing for newcomers 🏠 Do you have a housing lead? Please email Shauntasia, shicks@irisct.org.

You can play a vital role in giving refugee families a warm welcome to their new home.
