Women Supporting Women & Men Supporting Men: 8-week Spousal Loss Support Groups

Talbot Hospice invites those who have experienced the loss of a spouse or significant other to join Women Supporting Women AND Men Supporting Men, compassionate and supportive 8-week groups.

These groups will assist in understanding the journey grief. Grief is messy and unpredictable. Grief does not follow a straight line to healing; there are no time frames or rules. What is important is that your grief is acknowledged and validated. Talbot Hospice looks forward to offering a safe place for you to share your grief. Together, we’ll share stories, explore the grieving process, and find healing in the strength of community.

Women Supporting Women: Every Tuesday 10:00 am, starting 2/24/26 and ending 4/14/26.

Men Supporting Men: Every Tuesday 2:00 pm, starting 2/24/26 and ending 4/14/26.

"Talbot Hospice did a great job putting together a group of women that have become my family. They understand my feelings without judgement. When you are left alone and lost, being able to reach out to group like this is a gift." - Nancy

Know us before you need us

We want to dispel common misconceptions of Hospice and Palliative Care. Todays Myth Buster is:

Myth: Hospice care is only provided in a hospital or hospice facility.

Fact: Talbot Hospice services are offered wherever you call home - in one's own residence, in assisted living and nursing homes, or at our Hospice House. The goal is to provide comfort and dignity to our patients while focusing on improving one's quality of life, wherever they call home.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight! Demetrae DeShields 🌟

Demetrae DeShields began volunteering with Talbot Hospice in October 2025. Born and raised in Easton, he was inspired to give back after a personal experience with end-of-life care. Demetrae enjoys biking the Rails & Trails paths around Easton with his wife and watching classic 80’s movies. His compassion and eagerness to learn already make him a valued member of our volunteer team.

We are so happy and proud to celebrate Christy Mcdorman, recipient of the Dr. Michael Fisher Award, presented at our Christmas party last month.

This annual award honors a team member who truly embodies the values and spirit of Dr. Michael Fisher through unwavering commitment to compassionate care. It recognizes someone who goes above and beyond for patients, families, and colleagues while bringing heart, creativity, and collaboration into everything they do.

Christy does all of that and more, every single day. Her dedication, kindness, and compassion make a lasting impact on everyone she serves and works alongside. We could not be more grateful to have her on our team.

Congratulations, Christy, and thank you for all that you do 💙
