Mission Statement: We offer hope and compassionate support to those facing life-limiting, serious and end-of-life illnesses. We support people in our community who are facing end-of-life and life-limiting illnesses. We offer bereavement services to all in the community regardless of whether you died on our services. We raise over $1,000,000 each year to care for those that can't afford our services and for our bereavement program which is offered to everyone free of charge.

Talbot Hospice is paying it forward.

Last year, we were grateful to benefit from the generosity and support of the Tidewater Rotary Club. This year, we are proud to return that generosity by helping share and support their newest community initiative addressing food insecurity in Talbot County.

Through Tidewater Rotary’s “Sponsor a Crockpot” program, families and children in our community can receive hot, nutritious meals. More than 20% of local kids and families face food insecurity, and many students return home to empty houses while parents are working, often without a warm meal waiting.

While our primary focus is end-of-life care, Talbot Hospice’s mission is rooted in compassion and care for our broader community. Supporting this effort is a meaningful way to stand with a trusted partner who has stood with us.

Today’s support group, Holiday Opportunities: Coping with Grief During the Holidays, was a meaningful blend of connection and creativity.

We began with coffee and conversation, sharing space and stories, then spent time creating decorative bottles, a thoughtful gift or a special addition to holiday decor. We also explored journaling with books designed to capture moments and memories that still bring joy during this season.

We are grateful to the Women & Girls Fund of the Mid-Shore for helping make gatherings like this possible and for supporting spaces where healing, reflection, and community can grow

Join us Tomorrow, December 16 at 10 a.m. at 586 Cynwood Drive in Easton for coffee, conversation, and gentle support. You are welcome to bring a special treat that reminds you of a meaningful memory.
