Channel Marker, Inc. Building Trust, Hope, and Dignity

Founded in 1982, Channel Marker provides mental health and wellness support for adults and youth with severe mental illness in Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot counties. Through a wide range of on-site, residential and community based services specifically tailored to the needs of each client, more than 55 clinical and mental health services staff serve an average of 400 clients each year. Funding for our work primarily comes from Medicaid with support from generous members of the community, the State of Maryland, and private foundations.

Talk Saves Lives: Supporting Our Veterans
7 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2025

The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) is excited to announce the upcoming launch of our newly developed education program, Talk Saves Lives: Supporting Our Veterans. This is a free, 60-minute presentation for audiences to learn about the impact of su***de among veterans, along with practical ways to recognize warning signs of su***de, navigate tough conversations, and connect veterans to support in ways that respect their autonomy.

After attending Talk Saves Lives: Supporting Our Veterans, participants will:
• Learn the impact of su***de on the veteran population
• Identify contributors to veteran su***de, as well as protective factors
• Learn how to recognize su***de warning signs in veterans
• Gain confidence in starting a conversation with someone who may be in distress
Understand ways to seek and offer support and resources for veterans

Join For All Seasons Behavioral Health and RCC for an Evening with Frosty! Explore Frosty’s Magical Holiday Village - a Winter Wonderland that brings holiday joy to the community each year.

Date: Friday, December 5
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Location: The Anchor Church

This festive event features sweet treats, hot cocoa, and a professional photographer offering photos with Frosty and families, juggling with Cascading Carlos, “Frosty’s Winter Wonderland” on the big screen, and over 50 holiday inflatables of all sizes. This is a free event, generally welcoming 2,500 attendees.
