Four months ago I laid my father to rest. It was the first time I experienced grief. I had my own notion of it before.
I thought it was the sad time, that followed the death of someone you love.
And you had to push through it to get to the other side.
But I’m learning, there is no other side...
There is no pushing through, but rather, there is
Absorption.
Adjustment.
Acceptance.
And grief is not something you complete, but rather, you endure.
Grief is not a task to finish, and move on, but an element of yourself – an alteration of your being. I am now my father’s keeper and will forever have empathy for the grieving 🩵

This post is for me. I'm falling in love with strength training even though I moan and complain most of the time 😭 It makes me feel so incredible about myself. When I look in the mirror during a workout I'm not criticizing my flaws, I'm thinking "hot damn", "looking amazing girl", "abs are popping!" 😂 I know its vain but when I was younger all I did in mirrors was pick at myself and point out everything that was wrong. I won't lie to you, I still have those moments but now I know im just one workout away fromn a better mood. Today I just want to say that
