The holiday house at St. Luke’s Anderson Campus Arboretum is dressed in its festive best, perfect for family photos and memory-making. There were a lot of smiles, and some tears, at the 15th and final Tucker’s Toy Run at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Bethlehem. What began in 2010 with less than 100 bikers to honor the memory and celebrate the life of Tucker Stuart, grew into an annual event with more than 1,000 participants this year.

Over the years, this generous group has donated more than 60,000 toys to St. Luke’s pediatric patients, making their hospital experience a little more comforting.

Thank you, Tucker’s Toy Run. We are humbled by your generosity, and grateful for 15 years of support.

Friendly competition, laughter and community were the themes of the day at the 2nd Annual Trina Wijangco, MD, Memorial Scholarship Pickleball + Co****le Tournament.

The festivities provided an opportunity for participants to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Wijangco, a 2021 graduate of the Temple/St. Luke’s School of Medicine, and raise money for the scholarship in her name that will benefit future medical students interested in promoting diversity in medical education.

We’re proud to share that Karen Ackerman, LPN, at St. Luke’s Hospice, has been honored with the Magic Moments Award for Exceptional Care by the Pennsylvania Homecare Association. Karen was recognized in the Caught in the Act category for her thoughtful act of kindness in partnering with a local flower farm to bring fresh bouquets to her hospice patients. What began as one thoughtful gesture has grown into an ongoing tradition that continues to brighten the days of patients and families.

Karen’s generosity and devotion remind us that even the smallest acts can leave the biggest impact. 💐
