Thank you to everyone who supported the Funhouse Commons through the orcas island Orcas Island Community Foundation GiveOrcas Holiday Catalog this year.

The Funhouse board, staff, volunteers, and participants are incredibly thankful to the community for contributing $12,000 towards our new parking lot!

This new parking space will greatly improve safety and accessibility, especially during large community events like the annual Science Fair.

The GiveOrcas campaign was a tremendous success and we have now raised a total of $54,475 - 43% of our overall goal!

If you’ve already given, we’re deeply grateful and hope you’ll consider an additional gift to help us reach the finish line.

A new parking lot may not be the flashiest fundraiser, but seeing the smiling faces arriving at the Funhouse — and the many ways we get to serve them — brings us incredible joy. Over the past few years, we’ve expanded our impact and the number of young people we serve, and are deeply grateful to the OPAL Community Land Trust for their parking easement, which makes it possible for us to keep growing.

This project isn’t just about pavement — it’s about safety and access. It helps ensure that every child and family can arrive and leave safely, and it supports the many programs you make possible through Music, Art, Science & Technology and our afterschool and summer camp programs that families depend on every day.

We have just 2 more days to reach our goal! Tomorrow is a big push day — we’re asking you to “bring out the Benjamins” and help carry us across the finish line.
