Brittany Hernandez, medical surgical unit registered nurse supervisor at Eaton Rapids Medical Center (ERMC), has been named the 2025 recipient of ERMC’s Leader Meinke Sherman Care, Serve, Inspire Award.
Brittany was nominated for the 2025 Leader of the Year award by a colleague who recognized her for her upbeat personality, strong leadership, and unwavering willingness to help. When she stepped into the manager position temporarily, Brittany went above and beyond to ensure both staff and patients felt supported. Her nomination highlighted the positive impact she has had on improving communication among units and strengthening collaboration across different parts of the hospital. She is consistently looking for ways to enhance the unit and offers support wherever it is needed.
Brittany has been with ERMC since June 2017. She began her career at ERMC as a nursing assistant while attending nursing school. After graduation, she started as a graduate nurse on the medical surgical unit and has since advanced to her current role as medical surgical nursing supervisor.
“Brittany is always present on the floor offering help to staff and taking on patients when needed,” the nomination read. “She is always open to suggestions and strives to make changes where necessary.”
We are incredibly grateful to the Eaton Rapids Medical Center Foundation for their generous support in helping us purchase and install the new Hercules Patient Boosting System at our hospital.
Thanks to your investment, our care teams now have access to innovative technology that allows them to safely reposition patients at the touch of a button. The Hercules Patient Boosting System reduces physical strain on staff, helps prevent injuries, and improves comfort and safety for both patients and caregivers.
Our team members were recently trained on the new system, and we are already seeing the positive impact it’s making in patient care.
Thank you for investing in the health of our community.

Anne Quick, a clinical analyst at Eaton Rapids Medical Center (ERMC), was named the 2025 recipient of ERMC’s Non-Clinical Meinke Sherman Care, Serve, Inspire Award.
Anne was nominated for the 2025 Non-Clinical Employee of the Year award by a colleague who recognized her for consistently going above and beyond in her role, demonstrating a true “can-do” attitude, and an unwavering commitment to helping others succeed. Her nomination highlighted her patience, kindness, and positivity, especially during high-stress situations involving computer system issues or urgent Meditech needs.
The nomination noted that when challenges arise and emotions run high, Anne remains calm and compassionate, helping others feel supported rather than overwhelmed. The nomination described an interaction in which an employee who struggled with computer systems expressed embarrassment about asking what they felt were “basic” questions. It read, in part, “Anne immediately reassured the employee, explaining that they had asked many of the same questions when they were first starting out in IT. She emphasized that learning requires asking questions and that there are no silly questions—only opportunities to grow. The employee later went out of their way to share how respected, encouraged, and relieved they felt after that interaction.”
Anne has been with ERMC for three years serving as a clinical analyst. She shared that her favorite part of her role is helping people while also contributing to improvements within Meditech. “I enjoy working through complex issues, so the system runs more smoothly and supports everyone in doing their jobs more effectively,” Anne said.
