This position will be part time working as an optometric technician pre-testing patients, training patients on contact lens use, ordering and dispensing of contact lens orders. They will also help with dispensing of prescription eyewear and front desk receptionist duties when needed.

Previous optometric/opthalmic experience (certified paraoptometric, certified ophthalmic assistant, licensed optician) preferred but not required. We are willing to train all candidates on all duties.

Candidate needs to be flexible and a team player.

We are looking for a wonderful staff member to add to our team.

This position will be a full time position. This person will work part time in our eyewear laboratory placing orders for prescription eyewear, checking in orders, and finishing/edging uncut lenses to fit into frames.

This position will also be part time working as an optometric technician pre-testing patients, training patients on contact lens use and dispensing of contact lens orders.They will also help with dispensing of prescription eyewear when needed.

This position has the potential to transition into a licensed optician.

Previous optometric/opthalmic experience (certified paraoptometric, certified ophthalmic assistant, licensed optician) preferred but not required. We are willing to train all candidates on all duties.

We are excited to announce that starting May 4th we will begin the process of returning to full service eye care. To ensure our communities ongoing safety we have implemented new safety protocol.

-We will limit the number of persons in our office at any given time.

-Entry into our office is by appointment only. We will not be accepting walk-ins at this time.

-Dispensing of glasses will continue to be done by curbside pickup. If necessary, adjustments can be made by appointment only.

-No other persons will be allowed to accompany the scheduled patient into the building unless absolutely necessary (i.e. caregivers or parent of minor).

-Upon arriving for your appointment, remain in your vehicle, call or text the office to notify us that you are here. An employee will greet you at the door and complete the screening process.

-You will be asked a series of questions to evaluate your potential exposure to COVID-19.

-Your temperature will be measured to verify you are not running a fever.

As long as you pass the screening process you will be permitted into the building to continue with your care.

We appreciate your cooperation in our attempt to keep everyone as safe as possible. These past several weeks have been emotional and challenging not getting to do what we love to do, and not seeing the people that make it all worth while. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.

After carefully considering the recommendations of the CDC and Ohio Optometric Association regarding COVID-19 our office is currently open for urgent/emergent examinations only.

In case of an eye emergency please call 937-456-5559

You DO NOT need to call the office to reschedule any appointments at this time. We will contact you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled.

We will continue to accept contact lens orders by calling 937-456-5559 or by visiting our website www.mv-visioncare.com. Dispensing of glasses will be done by appointment only using our outside drop box. Unfortunately we will not be able to adjust glasses at this time. Please call or text to schedule your dispensing. Texting is preferred.

We will continue to monitor our phones for voice messages and will do our best to return your call in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. We are blessed to have great patients and look forward to fully serving you in the near future. It is our goal and hope to get back to normal operations as quickly as possible so that we may continue to serve your eye care needs.
