We are sad to say that the rumors you may have heard are, in fact, true. Yesterday, Saturday, March 14th was the last day for City Market, Greensboro. The last year and a half have been fantastic and it has been our honor to be a part of the Greensboro and Lake Oconee community. The decision was based on economics and while we had hoped for another path forward, none emerged. While this is a sad day for us and the rest of the team that worked so hard to provide a great customer experience to all our friends and customers, we know the future is bright for all of us. Lastly, we would be remiss not to thank all of our wonderful friends and neighbors but also a few specifically Mr. Ken a great friend and mentor Robert and Diana Hoch and our partners with Scratchers Creek Jeff Kent and Josh Newsome thank you all again for a wonderful experience and we hope to see you on the lake soon!

Now more than ever we have to stay united. We must learn to support one another. I do not need to tell you how challenging business or lack of it has become. Some have asked me what was my motivation in launching, Lake Country Strong. With out hesitation I have replied that the Lake Country business and professional community was there for me and my family when I opened Print & Sign Solutions 3 years ago. To this day, I have felt blessed to have been embraced by so many. We all are faced with the challenge of re-inventing, re-imagining and re-engineering our businesses to adapt to everyone's new buying habits. There is no GPS to follow on this new normal. With that in mind, I launched Lake Country Strong to help us all get our products and services in front of the community and each other.
I am lucky enough to have someone like Harvey Kart from Lake Oconee Health helping me with all the posts, community outreach, and social media knowledge.
Most of us are on social media platforms and have used websites to some extent. I am sorry to say that it is possible that word of mouth and our traditional referral sources may not be enough any longer to succeed. With that in mind we will be creating various promotional products to spotlight the Lake Country Strong slogan to encourage keeping all purchases local.
Lake Country Strong will be partnering with local business and will be expanding on the Lake Country Strong slogan. This initiative will be directing a significant amount of money raised for a variety of worthy community causes that are working with children, healthcare fundraising drives and educational programs. Soon you will begin to see the various products, such as souvenir drinking cups, tumblers, decals, hats, t-shirts, and coolers for starters.
