BIAW staff along with Fox Valley members represented at NASHIA State of the States conference this past week in Portland, Maine! Such great information on all things brain injury including unhoused and incarcerated individuals with brain injuries and what steps others have taken to support them! We did sneak in some networking on a cold and windy (but still fun) boat tour at the end of the week, we were able to help support pups in training from Mission Working Dogs and eat a little bit of fresh lobster! We have a lot of ideas for Wisconsin and will be working hard in grant year three to get some of those ideas started! One of the sculptures I saw around Portland resonated with me… we are standing on the shoulders of others passed before us and are helping those in the future of brain injury… ❤️❤️
