As I sit here trying to find words for what my heart what’s express…I have no words. Just feelings. Rage, worry, helpless, hopeless, grief, sadness. What is happening right in my back door in MN seems so unreal. We are all witnessing this and experiencing this in some way. Impacted forever. It’s easy when life is maybe a little complicated and feeling mid that we feel stressed but can still function physically. It’s easier to ignore the stiff neck and tightness in the hips. But now, so many of us are feeling the physical threats and it’s showing up in our bodies. I’ve been doing what I do for over 16 years and I’ve never heard more affirmations from my clients about how at ease they feel than after their recent massages these last few weeks. I will never claim that massages will cure you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. But what I will stand by is that when you are held in a very safe way your body will feel safe enough to let go. Safe enough so you can think with clarity. Safe enough that you know the next best step to take. Safe enough to go home to your family, your kids, your spouse, your neighbor, and to be able to give just a little bit than you could before. Please don’t forget to take care of yourself. Especially right now. Abraham Hicks said it best. One light that shines can light up thousands. But if your light is not able to shine you can’t help anyone. Not even you. Find what fills up your soul, even if it’s just for a few seconds. That matters. You matter.
