🤔Q: What part of your profession do you enjoy the most? (ie, language intervention, narratives, motor speech, fluency, semantics, phonology) and Why....
💬A: I really enjoy working with Alternative and Augmentative Communication 📱(AAC), articulation, and language and literacy-based themed therapy. It is so rewarding to share a story with students and use the text topics and vocabulary to target speech therapy goals ✅and functional communication. 💬

🤔Q: Do you have a funny story🤗 to share about teletherapy?
💬A: The most rewarding part about working with students and their teachers, families, and caregivers is when they learn a new skill and generalize it to the classroom and home environment! 🗣 🙌

💬A: I truly love ❤️ everything about our profession because of the variety it offers. What I enjoy most is getting to support the SLPA students 🙋‍♀️ I supervise and watching their growth over time. It’s incredible to see how much progress they make in just a few short months. They put so much effort into each student, and witnessing the relationships they build along the way is incredibly rewarding.🙌🏻

🤔Q: Do you have a funny story🤗 to share about teletherapy?
💬A: During a site visit to one of my schools, a student saw 🥸 me in person and yelled, “You’re a real person?!”🕵🏼👀

🤔Q: What part of your profession do you enjoy the most? (ie, language intervention, narratives, motor speech, fluency, semantics, phonology) and Why....
💬A: I really enjoy all areas of our profession, but I'd have to say that phonology is my favorite. Starting to hear 👂 students use the correct speech 🗣️ sounds is very exciting and rewarding! 🤩

🤔Q: Do you have a funny story🤗 to share about teletherapy?
💬A: I had a middle school student 🙋‍♂️ who was telling me a story about using his Google Home speaker 🔊 at his house 🏡 the night prior and it accidentally activated the Google Home that I have in my house 🏡. I'm not sure what the Google Home thought it heard him say, but all of a sudden 🎶"You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon 🎶 was blasting 📣 at full volume from my Google speaker. I mute my speaker 🔇at the beginning of every work day now. 🫡

💬A: I love providing articulation therapy 🗣 for students and seeing their excitement‍🤩, when they produce a word correctly!
🤔Q: Do you have a funny story🤗 to share about teletherapy?
💬A: A funny experience from teletherapy is that I have a young student 👧who always 💚loves to end our session by saying💬💛 "love you bye!". 🙋‍♂️👋👋

🤔Q: What part of your profession do you enjoy the most? (ie, language intervention, narratives, motor speech, fluency, semantics, phonology) and Why....?
💬A: Honestly, it's all the best! 👏And it's made even better because I get to work with students who are in 4K all the way up to 12th grade. I love the variety ⚙️of areas we get to target each day and I feel lucky to interact with students across all grade levels.
🤔Q: Do you have a fun experience🤗 to share about teletherapy?
💬A: I think my favorite was when a student 👨‍🦱told me there was a mouse 🐭 in his room at the school 🫣‼️. He told me he was going to catch it and I told him "No! Don't touch it! 🚫 We'll get help!" He said, "I'm just going to get it." The next thing I see is my student holding up the computer mouse by the cord! 🫠🖱️

💬A: Favorite part of my profession is that I can tailor speech sessions🗣 around student interests🤓, how they are feeling that day, giving them options, whether we are working on language or articulation goals. ✅

🤔Q: Do you have a fun experience🤗 to share about teletherapy?

💬A: This is my second year at a Native American school and I really enjoy learning about their culture and native language!👩‍🏫🌎

💬A: My favorite part of my profession is language intervention. There are so many different aspects to this area, so I feel like I can never get bored!

💬A: A funny memory is that last year on the last day of speech I referred to myself 🙋‍♀️by my name and my student was genuinely confused and asked who Miss Megan was! 🤔😆

💬A: The part of my profession that I enjoy most is doing language intervention as there are so many different things that you can work on. I never get bored!

🤔Q: Do you have a funny story🤗 to share about teletherapy?

💬A: Last year (during my first year of teletherapy), I had a student ask me during a session at the beginning of the year if I only had half of a body as they could only see my top half while working with me on the computer💻. Later in the year, when I showed up to the school to spend a day with my students in-person, that student's first comment when he saw 🧐me was, "You do have legs!!" 🤣 🦵🦵
