Thank you to the Medica Cor Center in Ruse, Bulgaria for an excellent first educational program together.

On 25 November, we hosted our inaugural IVUS & FFR training at Cardiology Hospital Medica Cor with invited physicians from Bulgaria, Greece, and Poland. Our sincere thanks also go to our partners in these countries for their support in bringing the participants together.

The program featured a focused theoretical session by Prof. Dr. Dobrin Vassilev on the value of FFR and IVUS, including in CTO, and live cases performed by Prof. Vassilev, Dr. Gavrail Stoev, Dr. Panayot Panayotov, Dr. Tony Velikov, and Dr. Ilter Pazardzhikli.

We are proud that Medica Cor uses ACIST technologies in daily practice, and we are deeply appreciative of their partnership. This was the first of our workshops at Medica Cor, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration in 2026.

Last week, ACIST participated in the GIS Symposium organized by Gulf Intervention Society in Dubai, together with our distribution partner in the region, Al Umnia.

A highlight of the event was Dr. Ziad Ali’s presentation on intravascular imaging and techniques to optimize PCI outcomes, showing the benefits of ACIST HDi® and high-definition IVUS in guiding PCi's with the MLD MAX algorithm.

In addition, a live case from Al Qassimi Hospital demonstrated the use of HDi to guide a complex PCI with a DEB.

GIS was an excellent opportunity to connect with cardiology professionals in the region and demonstrate how ACIST technologies can support advanced PCI procedures.

ACIST technologies played a critical role in multiple live cases at Scripps Cardiovascular Interventions 2025, demonstrating their reliability and relevance in today’s interventional practice:

✅ ACIST CVI® supported all cases led by Dr. Paul Teirstein.

✅ ACIST RXi® and Navvus® II aided in a challenging scenario by maintaining guidewire position after another pressure wire failed.

✅ ACIST HDi® and Kodama® guided four diverse cases, including a TAVR prep, a strategy-changing IVI case, and a complex trifurcation.

✅ HDi® supported visualization of previously placed stents, assessment of stenotic burden and calcific plaques, planning and verification of vessel modification steps, and the use of both drug-coated balloons and drug-eluting stents for treatment.

ACIST technologies continue to empower clinicians with tools that help make a real difference in the cath lab!

What a fantastic two days at iPCI Rotterdam! We had the privilege of joining 40 physicians and fellows from across Europe and beyond for highly interactive, small-group workshops focused on IVUS in Complex PCI and IVUS in ACS.

Led by course director Dr. Joost Daemen (Thoraxcenter, Erasmus University Medical Center, Rotterdam), this year’s edition of iPCI once again elevated both theoretical and practical education with one clear goal: optimizing patient outcomes. With a strong emphasis on intravascular imaging, iPCI 2025 offered an immersive, hands-on learning experience as attendees rotated through expert-led workshops covering topics such as plaque recognition, IVUS in LM and CTO and calcium and lesion preparation.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Joost Daemen and Sharon Sewell for the impeccable organization, and to our moderators Prof. Dr. Christoph Hammerstingl and Jürgen Ligthart for their valuable expertise and contributions.

Already looking forward to the next edition!

This week, ACIST is going to Germany to attend the CTO & CHIP DACH Meeting in Nuremberg, together with our colleagues from Bracco Germany.

This meeting is a two day course focusing on complex coronary interventions and CTO-PCIs, broadcasting 10 live cases from the cathlabs of Klinikum Fürth.

Join our colleagues Jochen Walter and Markus Quehl to explore how ACIST solutions help physicians navigate complex coronary interventions with confidence.
