Early diagnosis of hearing loss can change a child’s life

Today, on World Hearing Day, we join millions around the world to raise awareness about hearing and the importance of hearing care. This year’s theme hearing care for all children reminds us that early identification and support can change the course of a child’s life.

Around 90 million children aged 5-19 live with a hearing loss, and according to WHO, over 60% of cases are preventable through early screening, safe listening practices, vaccination and prompt treatment of ear infections.

At Interacoustics, this mission is deeply rooted in our history. When we first began more than 50 years ago, our purpose was to support children who were hard of hearing by providing tools to deaf schools — helping them learn, communicate, and thrive. That early commitment to children laid the foundation for everything we stand for today.

As we reflect on a busy and exciting year, we want to pause and thank our customers for allowing us to serve as your trusted partner in caring for hearing, balance, and PT rehabilitation patients. Thank you for all you do to support these patients and improve their quality of life. Interacoustics US office will be closed November 27 - 28 in observance of the holiday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, December 1.
