Charles did it! 👏🎉👓

From hard work in the therapy room to real-life wins—this vision therapy graduate is showing just how powerful strong visual skills can be.

On their recent spring break flight, Charles chose to read his book instead of reaching for the iPad… and that says it all. ✈️📚

Here are just a few things that are easier for him now:
• Reading for longer periods without fatigue
• Staying focused and attentive
• Tracking words smoothly across the page
• Improved comprehension and confidence
• Less frustration with schoolwork
• Better hand-eye coordination

Today we are celebrating Clay! 📣👏🎉

Clay has worked really hard in Vision Therapy and has made some AMAZING changes! 👏

Before Vision Therapy he struggled with:
🔴letter reversals
🔴shoe tying
🔴low control of his eye movement
🔴low body control / motor skills
🔴attention & concentration
🔴reading fluency and comprehension

And today he is doing great with his left and right, reading , tying his shoes, and increased body control and awareness!

Here is what his mom had to say:
“Our experience has been wonderful. Mindy was such a great fit for Clay. Everyone is patient, kind, and extremely informative. I can tell everyone truly cares.

I am so thankful!

Our journey began with Clay’s routine trip to the optometrist after learning he needed glasses. There we learned that he had no depth perception, and I already knew he had many issues in school. I didn’t realize how many of those issues were tied to vision. We were referred to Minnesota Vision Therapy Center!

Through these weeks, I have noticed significant improvement in coordination, eye teaming, and he now has depth perception! I’ve also noticed impulse control improving. I think it has helped him in school in more ways than just vision.”

✨ It’s never too late to see the world differently ✨

Today we’re celebrating an incredible adult patient who just completed her vision therapy journey—and what a transformation it’s been! 👏

So many people think vision therapy is “just for kids,” but the truth is, our visual system can grow and change at any age. Whether it’s improving reading comfort, reducing headaches, strengthening eye teaming, or rebuilding skills after a traumatic brain injury (TBI)… the impact can be truly life-changing.

After a TBI, many adults struggle with symptoms like double vision, fatigue, difficulty focusing, and trouble reading—but vision therapy can help retrain the brain and restore those essential visual skills. 🧠✨

Lindsey put in the time, the effort, and the consistency—and it shows. We are SO proud of her dedication and the progress she’s made! 💛

Your vision doesn’t have to stay the way it is. Growth is always possible.

📣📣📣Pull up a chair because Emme’s Vision Therapy success story is MUST READ! Here’s what Emme’s mom had to say about their journey and experience with MVTC:

“We love who Emme is, but wanted to find a way to make learning less of a struggle.

We have gone down many a rabbit hole throughout this pursuit and while many of the therapies, tutors and learning approaches have helped, nothing has been as ✨TRANSFORMATIONAL✨ as vision therapy AND the closest thing to a “silver bullet” that we have ever experienced.

Now, our daughter processes visual information more rapidly and accurately. She now can visualize what she hears or reads, which was a skill she could not do at all. This is SO huge!! Her reading comprehension, reflection, and vocabulary has improved. We’ve also noticed improvement in math skills. 🙌

As a mom, I marveled at the fact that her vision therapist, Mindy, would introduce something and Emme would not be able to complete it quickly. This would then be a skill practiced throughout the week and we would literally see the skill grow in just ONE week. We observed this repeatedly. Her confidence has really grown throughout this experience too. I’m sure it is because of Mindy’s awesome growth mindset and demeanor, but also because of these acquired skills helping our daughter to process and move throughout the world.

While our time at MVTC has ended, we know that the skills she learned in therapy will continue throughout her lifetime.

We have tremendous gratitude for Mindy, her expertise, care, and therapy pivots when she noticed a skill that needed to be addressed. We are so grateful. She has been such a blessing to all of us. We have seen growth in every area of our daughter’s life and we credit Mindy and her vision therapy expertise.

As we wrap up National Reading Month, it’s the perfect time to reflect on stories that make every reader feel seen.

Books like ‘A Walk in the Words’ and ‘Thank You, Mr. Falker’ remind us that no two reading journeys are the same, and that representation in books truly matters.

These stories highlight the struggles some children face with reading, while also celebrating resilience, support, and growth. For kids who may feel frustrated or “behind,” seeing themselves in these pages can be life-changing. It sends the message: you’re not alone, and your story matters.

As we close out the month, we’re especially grateful for books that build confidence, spark connection, and help all readers feel understood 💫
