📣📣📣Pull up a chair because Emme’s Vision Therapy success story is MUST READ! Here’s what Emme’s mom had to say about their journey and experience with MVTC:

“We love who Emme is, but wanted to find a way to make learning less of a struggle.

We have gone down many a rabbit hole throughout this pursuit and while many of the therapies, tutors and learning approaches have helped, nothing has been as ✨TRANSFORMATIONAL✨ as vision therapy AND the closest thing to a “silver bullet” that we have ever experienced.

Now, our daughter processes visual information more rapidly and accurately. She now can visualize what she hears or reads, which was a skill she could not do at all. This is SO huge!! Her reading comprehension, reflection, and vocabulary has improved. We’ve also noticed improvement in math skills. 🙌

As a mom, I marveled at the fact that her vision therapist, Mindy, would introduce something and Emme would not be able to complete it quickly. This would then be a skill practiced throughout the week and we would literally see the skill grow in just ONE week. We observed this repeatedly. Her confidence has really grown throughout this experience too. I’m sure it is because of Mindy’s awesome growth mindset and demeanor, but also because of these acquired skills helping our daughter to process and move throughout the world.

While our time at MVTC has ended, we know that the skills she learned in therapy will continue throughout her lifetime.

We have tremendous gratitude for Mindy, her expertise, care, and therapy pivots when she noticed a skill that needed to be addressed. We are so grateful. She has been such a blessing to all of us. We have seen growth in every area of our daughter’s life and we credit Mindy and her vision therapy expertise.

We LOVED our time at therapy. Mindy was a 10/10!! I am a firm believer in vision therapy after our experience.”

Wow! 🤩 Congratulations, Emme! We are incredibly PROUD of you. You’ve worked so hard and we are so excited for all of your success. We can’t wait to see where life takes you. 🎉🙌🫶

As we wrap up National Reading Month, it’s the perfect time to reflect on stories that make every reader feel seen.

Books like ‘A Walk in the Words’ and ‘Thank You, Mr. Falker’ remind us that no two reading journeys are the same, and that representation in books truly matters.

These stories highlight the struggles some children face with reading, while also celebrating resilience, support, and growth. For kids who may feel frustrated or “behind,” seeing themselves in these pages can be life-changing. It sends the message: you’re not alone, and your story matters.

As we close out the month, we’re especially grateful for books that build confidence, spark connection, and help all readers feel understood 💫

Both of these books are linked in our bio under “Our Favorite Things” if you
want to check them out!

With Vision Therapy we tackle many different visual skills 👁️💪🏈

Hudson put in the work and built skills like tracking, coordination, focus, and timing, and now he’s graduated! 🎉

The best part? He can finally keep up at recess, track the football, and make the catch with confidence 🏈

This is what happens when visual skills come together where it matters most. So proud of you, Hudson!

👀 Just because a child “passes” a school vision screening doesn’t mean their vision is ready for reading.

School screenings typically check distance eyesight, like seeing the board clearly.

But reading takes so much more:
📖 Eye tracking (moving smoothly across a page)
📖 Focusing (keeping words clear up close)
📖 Eye teaming (both eyes working together)
📖 Visual processing (making sense of what’s seen)

When these skills aren’t working well, kids may:
• Lose their place while reading
• Avoid books or homework
• Struggle with comprehension
• Complain of headaches or tired eyes

✨ These challenges are often missed in standard screenings, but they matter every single day in the classroom.
If something feels “off” with your child’s reading, trust your instincts. A comprehensive vision evaluation looks at the full picture—not just 20/20.

Hold your screen📱at a normal reading distance, look at the first two clovers and try to converge (cross) your eyes. You can use your finger to help guide your eyes.

As you do this, you should be able to create a THIRD clover in the middle that is 3D.

When you converge correctly, the middle clover will be crisp and clear. Does it look like the middle clover pops out of the screen (almost like it’s floating)?

Repeat with the next two pictures. First the leprechaun and then the hat!

Today we are celebrating Grace, one our incredible VT grads! 🥳👏🙌

Each week, Grace showed up to vision therapy with a positive attitude and a willingness to work! 👏Her hard work has paid off, and she now no longer has frequent headaches, and her reading skills have greatly improved. She is much more fluent, reads faster, has better comprehension, reading feels so much easier to her and she can do it all without worrying about headaches! 📖

We are so proud of you! ❤️

👀Vision is more than 20/20 eyesight. It includes tracking, teaming, and focusing — skills that are essential for successful reading.

The good news? These skills can be developed. 👏

Follow along this International Reading Month as we dig deeper into these visual skills and share how to support your child. 📚

Hold your horses… this vision therapy grad has a story to tell. 🐴📚

Reegan recently graduated from vision therapy, and moments like this say it all. When she first started, reading could be frustrating and tiring. Tracking lines, keeping her place, and reading comfortably took a lot of effort.

Reegan had a blast at her VT graduation. She brought an extra special visitor to help her celebrate —her Grandpa! Her whole family jumped into action, playing all sorts of vision therapy games!

Through vision therapy, Reegan worked hard to build the visual skills her eyes and brain need for reading, and her confidence grew right along with them.

Now she loves to read, and her horse is the perfect listener. 💛

We are so proud of all the dedication and hard work you put in, Reegan.

Congratulations on graduating!
