🙌ITS SUCCESS STORY TIME🙌

Today we are celebrating Tekla👨‍🎓🎓

Here’s what Tekla’s parents had to say about her program:

“Vision therapy has been an amazing experience.

We first brought Tekla in because she was experiencing blurriness, double vision, and words jumping. It was affecting school work and decreased her interest in reading. At our annual eye exam the doctor noticed “convergence” etc... and that uncovered the questions that ultimately helped us realize these symptoms were going on... without the evaluation we did not even know about the associated symptoms.

Her double vision got a lot better and she can see closer now as well. She says it is easier to read and feels like she can read faster.
With the improvement, she has started to enjoy reading!

The system of tracking homework and keeping ourselves accountable for the work each week went well and kept Tekla motivated. The fact that she saw improvement also helped keep her motivated. Mindy was an amazing person to work with and very skilled and clear with directions. Tekla said it really helped how Mindy gave her “real life examples”. All around an amazing experience!”

Hooray for Eliana! 💕👏🥳🙌

Eliana is such a hard worker and she had a great positive attitude! Congratulations Grad! 👩🏼‍🎓👏📚

Before vision therapy Eliana struggled with:
💕reversing letters, number and words
💕reading very slowly
💕poor handwriting & spelling

Here’s what Eliana’s mom had to say about their experience with MVTC:

“We came in after an eye exam showed she had some focus problems and everything was blurry within two feet of her face. After the initial evaluation it was clear that she would benefit from services. She has progressed tremendously and is able to see her piano music and read things close up again without double vision. So excited for her to finally be able to progress in her reading and schooling.

We have loved working with Kara! She has been so kind, positive and gracious. We appreciate the before and after comparisons to be able to see the progress she has made. This was totally worth our time and money, for our daughter to see clearly and be able to function well into the future.”

Today we are celebrating Miss Mackenzie!

Mackenzie was such a joy to have in our office! We will miss her kind and hardworking personality! And all of her creative artwork! 👏🎓

Here are some of her improvements:
🎨No more school anxiety
🎨No more double vision
🎨Reading now sounds AMAZING
🎨Visual headaches gone
🎨More visual stamina, reading for longer periods of time
🎨Increase in confidence
🎨Learned self advocacy skills

Mackenzie’s mom shared her story and we thought it was incredible!

“We were referred to MN Vision Therapy Center from our eye doctor. I had sensed that she was having trouble seeing and assumed she needed glasses. After receiving the diagnosis of Convergence Insufficiency, I felt like the missing piece of the puzzle was found.

Mackenzie is a student who has to work really hard in school to do well. She was meeting all of her school goals, but it just took her a lot longer and she had to really work at it. She was often really anxious to go to school because she knew she would have to work so much harder than her friends. She had daily headaches, chronic fatigue, and frequent nurse visits for tummy aches. After figuring out that her vision was a large contributor to this, she has become a different kid. She is so much more confident, her self-advocacy skills have advanced tremendously, and she has learned tools to help her be successful.

Being able to recognize all of the different feelings and symptoms of her body has been a huge improvement for her!

The experience we have had at MN Vision Therapy Center has been absolutely fabulous and we are so grateful for everything we have been taught.”

If a trucks and tractors themed graduation is what you want... a trucks and tractors themed graduation is what you GET! 🚛🚜⚠️

Congrats to Mason, a recent MVTC grad! We are so proud of him and all of his hard work! On our final day we got to take lots of pictures by his board, jam out to Twenty Trucks, and play some of our favorite games! 👏👏👏

Here’s what Mason’s mom had to say about their experience at MN Vision Therapy:

“Before vision therapy, Mason really struggled with reading and his motivation for school and reading was very low. We initially came in because Mason’s teachers suggested we explore additional support for him. Reading, writing, and math are really hard for him. We’ve seen so many small, yet important improvements all throughout the past 50 weeks. They all build to make amazing changes! I think he has more confidence and is proud of himself, too. It’s also been fun to see where some of his strengths are! We are so thankful for Ms. Courtney, for making some of the unexciting tasks FUN for Mason! He has enjoyed his time with you. We appreciate you and all you’ve done for him!”

Way to go Mason! We are so happy for you and all of the amazing changes you made!
