This is Rafa...He came in today not because he was limping or other painful reasons, but because his mom said he needed an "emergency visit". He had been working on not lunging on the leash the past year, and that had improved. Recently he started lunging at cars during walks, and getting over stimulated with electric car noises. Rafa's mom emailed the following observations after his visit today. Good boy Rafa!! and yay chiropractic!
"Rafa seems particularly chilled out after today's adjustment, so I think he really needed it!! He melted into the floor as soon as I walked in the door. Thank you! 😊
Just one more reply here...
I just took Rafa on a stroll and his demeanor was SO different! Wow. Back to his old self almost. Kinda turned his head for a couple cars that went by, but ignored others. You cannot imagine my relief! We'll see how long it holds. I guess we will be seeing more of you to just stay on the nervous system for a while as well as the elbow. Thanks again. "
Chiropractic care can help calm the nervous system by lowering the sympathetic nervous system that "amps" people and pets up, and it will increase the Parasympathetic nervous system that has a calming effect on the body. It's not just for musculoskeletal conditions.
