Foundations Minnesota provides outpatient substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment for adults ages 18 and older at our two locations: Eden Prairie and Minneapolis Foundations Minnesota provides outpatient substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment for adults ages 18 and older at our two locations: Eden Prairie and Minneapolis. Our outpatient programs are designed to support individuals who want flexible care while continuing to live at home and maintain work or family responsibilities. Services include Partial Hospitalization (PHP) with optional housing, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Virtual Outpatient treatment, with individualized care plans based on a comprehensive clinical assessment. Foundations Minnesota at Minneapolis is the home of the PRIDE Program, providing LGBTQ+-centered outpatient addiction treatment and mental health services. Since 1986, PRIDE has specialized in culturally responsive care that addresses the unique experiences and stressors faced by LGBTQ+ communities, and provides a strong alumni community, helping clients stay connected to peer support and ongoing resources after treatment. As part of the Foundations Recovery Network of care, Foundations Minnesota connects individuals to appropriate levels of support while helping them take meaningful steps forward in recovery. Physicians are on the medical staff of Foundations Minnesota but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Foundations Minnesota. We are so excited to have hosted another successful Chicago LGBTQ+ behavioral networking group with Greg Giancola from Hazelden, Molly Dougherty from Clarity Clinic, and Stuart Morrical from Foundations Minnesota and Pride Program. Gayle Monto discussed using TMS in the LGBTQ+ community.

Employee Spotlight: Nick - Facilities Maintenance Technician

Nick is the backbone and beating heart of the facility. As a community-based maintenance professional, he brings extensive experience in affordable housing, GRH settings and healthcare environments. Nick has a keen eye for infrastructure and excels at prioritizing preventative maintenance.

He is the eyes and heartbeat of the building, taking genuine pride in ensuring it receives the care and attention it deserves. Originally from Chicago, Nick has called Minnesota home for the past four years and brings passion and dedication to his work every day. Outside of work, he enjoys life with his partner and three cats, fixing small engines and spending time fishing.

We’re excited to welcome Debbie Gray.

Debbie joins us as a seasoned and compassionate professional with more than 20 years of experience in the helping professions. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, bringing deep expertise across addictions, mental health, child welfare, clinical supervision, program development and change management.

A Minnesota native from Anoka, Debbie earned her Bachelor's degree in social work from Bethel University and her Master's in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently completing her MBA in Healthcare Management from Southern Utah University this spring.

Throughout her career, Debbie has been recognized for her ability to drive positive patient outcomes, develop innovative solutions to complex administrative challenges and build strong relationships across diverse teams and communities. Her enthusiasm, dedication and strategic mindset make her a powerful addition to our leadership team.

We would like to introduce our new counselor Alicia! Alicia is excited to join the Foundations Minnesota team as an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) evening counselor. Alicia is a part of the LGBTQA community and has a value system that aligns with social justice, and accessible treatment for everyone. She is enthusiastic and excited to help aide clients on their recovery journey.

As an elder millennial Alicia enjoys going to "Emo" music festivals, enjoying an exquisite meal on a patio and traveling the world to expand cultural competence and knowledge. Alicia has goals of obtaining her LPCC in the next 5 years, and can be seen in the community with her 6 pound Chihuahua Pablo.

We want to take today to say an early Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. This holiday is one to share the love we share with our significant others, family, friends and more importantly, ourselves and our recovery journeys. Self love is just as important.

We want to give a shout out and re-introduce one of our amazing counselors, Kristine. Kristine rejoined our staff and is excited to help anyone and everyone in need. She aligns with the person-centered approach of care, values and authenticity that Foundations Minnesota provides. She is passionate about helping others on their recovery journeys and looking forward to helping others on their recovery journeys.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, anything fitness (specifically indoor cycling), painting, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
